                                                                                                                      JTR is sustained excellence! Have never had a bad meal or experience there. Last night’s dinner was no exception! JTR Old Fashion on point, Wedge salad was awesome, Filet Mignon cooked perfectly, with blue cheese sauce and grilled jalapeños, Texas man’s dinner! Absolutely yum! Watched the rest of playoff NFL football at the bar and tried the Blood and Sand, another masterpiece! My date enjoyed her salad and drinks. Very satisfied. This place is a gem.

                                                                                                                      Update: the owner contacted me and offered to comp our meals or give a gift certificate. He was very pleasant and I appreciate his quick response. However, I refused his offer because, we selected our meals and just because we didn’t like the dish it’s not fair to make the restaurant suffer. I’ve dined here several times and was always pleased. I believe they are customer focused. I do not like to write bad reviews but the owners need to know. This one time won’t stop us from returning. We will be more careful with our selections next time. The dish we chose was an unconventional recipe at best. My husband and I took a dear friend here for her birthday. Service was very good! Server was polite and informative. The food was not good. The fish pontchartrain was not to my liking. If there was crab meat in it I couldn’t find it. I prefer a brown sauce rather than reddish. And it had carrots in the sauce which was not pleasant at all. The fish was good but the sauce ruined everything for me. I had to ask for bread. I’ve been to Jonathon’s several times and found the food to be good. This visit was a disappointment. All three of people in my party had the same dish and feeling was mutual from all 3 of us. Quite an expensive meal for such a disappointment.

                                                                                                                      Jonathan’s the Rub always delivers. The menu is eclectic and everything in it is very good. I had scallops that were absolutely amazing. My friends had chicken friend chicken, chicken Parmesan, and filet. We had appetizers and sides also as well as a reasonably priced bottle of wine and other adult beverages. The service was attentive and food was timely and hot. We enjoyed all that we ate. Looking forward to another visit in the future.
