Julep Bar stands as an illustrious recipient of the prestigious James Beard Award, celebrated for its exquisite blend of craft cocktails, thoughtfully curated bar bites, and an enchanting ambiance. The menus, ever-evolving to mirror the changing seasons, captivate with their meticulous emphasis on fine ingredients and flavors. Located on Washington Ave between Sawyer and Silver St. The neighborhood is full of restaurants and B&B Butcher's Steak House is within walking Distance.

We always take walk-ins so shoot us a texas or stop by and see us if you don't see a table available.

Julep is a quaint cocktail bar with a vintage feel. The staff was kind and the playlist was a vibe.

We were a group of 8 who decided to have pre-dinner drinks and light snacks at Julep for Valentine’s Day. This was my first time going and I was not disappointed. The ambiance was really nice in the room they sat us. Almost felt like a speakeasy to me. The cheddar popcorn and French onion dip with caviar were delicious. Drinks were great and the staff were nice and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and I would go back to try more of the menu items.

We had a lovely time at Julep. Our server Carlos was very attentive, and the Manager Nelson was too. The drinks and food were delicious.

Very disappointed. “James Beard” award winner is the draw. Don’t buy the hype. While nothing was “bad”, nothing was great. So many options in the area I would pass on this one for another experience.

Music was way too loud, could barely hear people talking across our table, awful service, some drinks were good some were awful and it was all way too expensive for the value provided overall.

We enjoyed both the drinks (old fashioned and another similar drink) and the snacks (burger sliders and chicken confit flatbread are pretty good). we found the dim light very comfortable and provided an intimate setting for a good conversation

Positive: Good start, potentially good for social media photos of your drinks, kind of cozy, clean - even the restrooms, theoretically historical building Neg: Weird parking / valet situation to start, no working phone number, no physical menus, didn't have the ingredients to make the drink that I ordered, when I ordered a drink its ingredients were misrepresented on the menu, staff was friendly? but seemed young and not super cohesive, decor was straightforward and clean but lacked pizazz. Other clientele weren't super vibey either, I'm afraid :( Constructive: I think that this place would benefit from taking more consideration into the user experience and accessibility, while also showing something that presents a little more care rather than just cleanliness (but keep up the cleanliness!)

There was a historic weather event at Houston that night, but they still were polite and communicative and happy to accommodate us (celebrating a birthday coming from abroad), and serve us some delicious plates and awesome cocktails!
