   We have stayed at the BCC on numerous occasions and try to have at least one meal at Julia's during our stays. The food is lovely - well prepared, tasty and nicely presented - but an occasional change in menu would be nice. The service is very good - often by students from UC Berkeley, or other nearby universities. The dining room is also lovely, and especially notable to history and architecture buffs. Meals at Julia's are not inexpensive, and reservations typically need to be made well in advance.

   Excellent Service. Our waitress was gracious, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and kind. My son and I dined together. It was an overall, lovely experience. Much gratitude to our waitress who provided excellent gracious service. Thank you. ZASA SWANSON.

   I love Julia’s. The environment is beautiful. Hans, our waiter was so gracious, friendly and attentive. He’s a real asset to the restaurant. Our food was ok. I had the chicken sandwich which wasn’t bad, but was kind of sweet. Not my favorite. We were there for my friends’ birthdays. There was complimentary dessert with candles that was delicious. All in all we had s great time and I would recommend it for any special occasion. I liked my food better when I was there before for dinner. But please know that this is a special place!

   Maria was a wonderful severer. The food was plentiful and delicious. I had the quiche and I loved it. I wish I made a reservation for 1 pm instead because of noon. There were 6 of us and we couldn’t hear each other because the dining room was full and too loud to converse with the person across the table. That would be my only change. It’s a pretty dining hall. It’s like a walk back in time.

    One of the nicest small dining rooms in the East Bay. We had generous portions, very well cooked. Corkage is only $20.
