Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more. The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available.

Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables.

We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees. More information is available at kachkapdx.com/wage-equity

Van de OpenTable-redactie: Bij de opening in 2014 lanceerde dit baanbrekende restaurant de renaissance van de Oost-Europese keuken in het land. Het ontving lovende kritieken van onder andere Bon Appétit, Eater, GQ. Een decennium later is deze ode van Bonnie en Israel Morales aan hun roots nog steeds een hotspot, vanwege de beroemde vodka met mierikswortel en de zakuski (snacks) zoals kaviaar, roe en konijn bereid in een aardewerken pot. De duplexruimte is versierd met kleurrijke posters en tafelkleden uit Wit-Rusland, een uitnodigende plek waar je wilt blijven terugkomen.

Join us for a special New Years Eve experience at Kachka. We will be offering an upgraded Super Premium Ruskie Zakuski Experience as well as our regular menu and specials. Take in the New year with a special toast and, don't forget your goodie bag on the way out! In consideration for all our guests please note that your reservation will be for a limited 2 hour seating. Seating: Front dining room: Our front room is a large open room with big windows and high ceilings. Playful Eastern European decor decorate this room. Gallery room: The Gallery room is lit by chandeliers and the walls are studded with classic paintings. A cozy atmosphere for couples and parties alike. Bar/ Hightop table: Located in the front dining room, with stool seating.

The food was not tasty. Out of six dishes, only one was somewhat decent. We waited an hour for the chicken kebab, and it was served raw and overly salty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and very authentic, but the kitchen leaves much to be desired.

First exposure to Soviet era cuisine. Waiter Monica gave helpful explanations and suggestions. With the availability of small plate servings, we were able to sample a number of different dishes as well as some main dishes. Each was well-seasoned and tasty. We would return.

It is hard for me to give a 5 on value since I like doing things myself. However the food was heartwarming. It was well made commoner food with opportunities to make it luxurious (Caviar and Vodka). We stayed "commoner" on this visit, well we did the Vodka flight. From the pickles to varenyky, cabbage rolls and borscht, it was so well done. The atmosphere with the lace drapes, plastic table cloths, bench and chair seating took me off to Eastern Europe, even the drafty from the door added to the ambiance. This all melded together to a very warm and memorable comfort meal with the family. (Especially after the 3rd shot:). mmm! I must mention the awesome teamwork of at least 5 different servers that came by to really take care of us amongst the busy restaurant.

Outstanding! What a fabulous and interesting meal. Casual vibe with attentive service, good pacing, and amazing food. Definitely get some dumplings. This could not have been better.
