One of Scotland’s leading chefs, Tom Kitchin is proprietor of The Kitchin in Edinburgh’s Leith waterfront, which was awarded a Michelin Star in 2007, just six months after opening, making Tom Scotland’s youngest Michelin-starred chef proprietor at the age of just 29. The Kitchin has since retained its Michelin star, as well as becoming Scotland’s only restaurant to receive 5 AA Rosettes in 2015. This was my 5th visit to Kanishka & after a bad experience last year,thought I would give them another try. Menu has changed and although tasty & dishes cooked well,portions were small & very expensive. Service was great,much like previous visits,except for last year,though I will think twice about returning for the food,which does seem overpriced.

We had a super time and enjoyed the food immensely. There were good and personal touches given. We would visit again. This was after a rocky start, made to wait for almost 1hr, no offer of a drink - we had to ask for some water, put in seat where it was cold, argumentative when we asked for something, took so long for the welcome drink to arrive, maybe that could have been served whilst we waited! Hopefully this will help to allow the services shine though better to begin with. Thank you

A Magical Monday indeed! Unbelievable value, excellent food quality, and polite, attentive service. The wine deal is really good value for money. Loved it!

A wonderful meal. Such good service, food and ambience. We had the weekend brunch and it was amazing value for rhw quality. Would definitely recommend.

Great clean delivered food. Had the tasting menu. Well presented and filling. The wine flyte was excellent and paired well with the food. Will be visiting again!

Absolutely delicious from beginning to end. Attentive, friendly service. Not so busy that you felt part of a process but great atmosphere. Indian fine dining without pomp. Really delicious menu with a good combination of inspirational and traditional dishes. Highly recommend the scallop with chicken skin.
