                                              We booked La Bise for an early seating on New Year's Eve. We recognize that the evening may run differently then a normal dinner hour experience. The menu featured a lovely 4 course price fix at $100 pp. And overall the experience was a terrific value consider the cuisine, location, ambiance, and price. I must add, my wife loved her selections and declared them well worthy of the Michelin rating. My choices were not as pleasing. The main course, lsted as Chateaubriand, ordred warm medium rare, arrived blue if not raw. The accompaniments were fried potatoe fingers and the same wedge salad that I had as a first course. No matter, it's New Year's Eve and we were wearing the funny head gear provided. So, I chalked up the less than stellar entree to New Year's Eve pressure. On the other hand we did not appreciate the loud R&B blaring at the still early hour. The decor is fun and hip if you have fond memories of the 1970s. We will likely give La Bise another try on a quiet weekday night and I expect it will be an even better experience.

                                              I'm pushing 60 and I went ti the Harvard of Culibary schools plus I worked at Michelin two and three star restaurants, ran my own restaurant first year listed as one the 3 top Maryland restaurants competing the the those Viltag Bros. So I know. You can eat at so and so " essential dc restaurants " "latest trend " restaurant and endure service from someone between who ran out of cash for her graduate degree or you can make a reservation at La Bise and be served by professionals by an owner that believes at 150 per person you deserve a tablecloth and not plain formica vis a vis burger deluxe. Buts it's your money so spend it however you like.

                                              A very fine French restaurant in easy reach of Farragut Square. Nice wine list and all the French cuisine one would wish with some additional twists and turns that lead to new results from standard ingredients. Not inexpensive, but worth the occasional splurge. Bon Appetit!

                                              WOW.. It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.. from the welcome to the last bite.. everything was amazing. Thank for creating a wonderful atmosphere with a very knowledgeable staff.. Everything was perfect.. even when the restaurant called us because we forgot our CC there..

                                              We had such an enjoyable Christmas Eve dinner experience at La Bise. The restaurant decor and ambience was cozy yet artsy. All the staff, from the maitre d to the bartender to our waiter to the support start were friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic and the prix fixe selection was generous. Such a lovely evening! Thank you!
