Experience the culinary richness of Peru at La Costanera, a modern Peruvian fusion restaurant opened its doors October 2, 2009. The scenic California coast in Half Moon Bay, overlooks the Pillar Point Harbor with sweeping views of the beach and ocean. Just a short, beautiful drive from San Francisco (25 miles). The space is grand, with 180 degree windows, two stories, and a large outdoor terrace.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner. It was a tasting menu with wine pairings, and everything was excellent. Our server was right on top of things, and checked in with us appropriately. One small thing…the delivery/spacing of the dishes could have been better, and a sharper knife for the duck breast would have been great. These are small things. Overall, the experience and food was excellent.

Excellent communication between the time I made the reservation and we walked through the door. Waited a couple of minutes for our seat… The only thing I would recommend is you make sure that you don’t want a two person seat in the middle of the room that you ask for it to be above the main dining area or a window. It was New Year’s Eve very busy, but service was excellent… The food was very good… I would highly recommend!

Food was delicious - we split four appetizers between two of us which was a great way to try a nice variety of their offerings. The beet salad was a highlight. Service was great.

We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the grilled octopus! Our sever was awesome and made some great recommendations for dinner and appetizers. It was really a wonderful evening with a great meal. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in HMB.
