                                                                                  When in Montreal, this is one of my “go to” places. Great fondue with very nice and friendly servers and reasonable prices. All sorts of fondue options and the chocolate fondue dessert is a must. Nice , not too expensive wines and good beer selection as well. Comfort food at its best - especially on a winter night!

                                                                                  We picked this restaurant based off of reviews and were extremely disappointed. At one point they brought out another pot of fondue and set it on the table along with bread and olives which we began to eat... 60 seconds later the waiter came back laughed, apologized, and said that wasn't meant for us then walked three steps before and giving it to another table!! The other waitress also came out and keeled over laughing. We had already begun to eat the fondue!! For context, we ordered the entre/appetizer two-person size and a raclette and shared with 3. We were just discussing whether to get more when the 'second pot' came out so we erroneously thought that maybe the portions were large and they served each separately. In hindsight it was a bad assumption but we received the same dish and there's no reference point for portion size. Aside from taking food away somewhat rudely, giving it to someone else was extremely gross and the fact that they laughed openly is rather indicative of their general standards.

                                                                                  Service was terrible. No flavour to the broth. The quantity of what you get for the price was good, however very poor experience. Drove from Ottawa , stayed over night based on the reviews... not a good choice. Service was slow. Waitress was very touchy with the men, hands on shoulders, chest and holding hands. Not professional at all. No excuse me while reaching in front of us. No explainstion of how the menu worked, left us to figure it out on two occasions when we finally go through to her that we didn't know what we were doing. Tables turned quickly around us, we were there for 4 hours based on the waitress just not paying attention to us . We always had to call her over. Poor service.

                                                                                  The server that we had was an older woman, curly dark short hair and she was absolutely the rudest person I have ever met. My 7 friends and myself went to have dinner and she yelled at us for not spending enough money on food!! She said she turns people away at the door and lets in big groups so they will spend more money...and blamed us for not ordering the more expensive items on the menu. Absolutely disgusting behavior. If you go to this restaurant DO NOT stay if you get a female waitress.

                                                                                  Chaque fois que nous allons dîner à La Fonderie, nous passons toujours une très agréable soirée - every single time. Nous prenons généralement le festin - fondues fromage, chinoise et chocolat - avec une petite salade césar croquante - toujours la totale. Le sympathique service en plus ainsi que la musique de fond qui était bien agréable avec du Karen Souza qui nous a chanté quelques covers comme du Pink Floyd et Les Beatles ... vraiment I love this place.
