   Our reservation was at 6:45 but we were not seated until 7:30. We were not served our main dishes until 8:30. When they came the vegetables of two dishes were cold. They took the dishes back and warmed them up. My son and I split the Chateaubriand. The sides were lukewarm and so was the meat. It was so late that we did not send anything back. For the cost of this meal, we were all quite disappointed. I have been here many times before and had a much better experience. The portions seemed stingy, our waiter barely checked on us, and the food was not worth the cost.

   Took 40 minutes to find parking- waiter was overwhelmed and lamb was tough - very noisy and crowded waiter was not attentive- asked 3 times to have our bottle of wine brought to the table.

   First time dining iat La Gare and was looking forward to this restaurant. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday night, definitly need reservations. Service started out good but got a little slow once our starters came out. Food was OK, nothing to write home about. My Rack of Lamb, recommended to be med-rare, had an uneven cook, more rare in the center chops and medium on the ends/edges. If we had had more time on our hands, we had a show to get to, I would have sent it back. My wife had the Veal Cordon Blue and was not impressed. The best part of both our entrees was the potatoes they were served with. It was worth a try but probably won't be going back anytime soon.

   Excellent food and service! We ordered several items that were prepared perfectly and our server recommended side dishes and wines for us to enjoy. We'll be back.

   While the food presented was hot, the salad was bland lacking flavor, & the cremini mushroom soup served had a strong olive oil taste, & the mushrooms could’ve been better sautéed to blend in.

   We have visited La Gare a number of times, and every visit is always very good. The food is amazing. We love going there so glad we live close by, staff always friendly and accommodating in every way! ❤️

   My partner loved the beef Bourguignon and I enjoyed the salmon, although I sent my first portion back to be cooked a little longer as it was lukewarm and red in the center. The vegetables were excellent and the creme brulee was good.

   La Gare was highly rated by our hotel, so we had good expectations. We made reservations a week in advance for 5:00 and asked if the meal we wanted would be available on a Sunday night. The answer was sure. When we arrived, we were seated in a side room that was diner-like & musty. We asked to be seated in the main dining room, which was half full, but the answer was there was no room. The server was nice but pushed us to order right away. We had to ask for bread & he forgot to tell us that the meal we wanted wasn't available. The meal we ended up ordering was good but not great. Overall, it was a poor experience & we won't be returning.

    Wonderful food and wine list. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive. Very romantic place for dinner!
