Housed in Chicago’s Belle Époque building, the unique Art Nouveau-inspired space honors the iconic building’s legacy while providing guests with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and menu. La Grande Boucherie blends the ambiance of an indulgent steakhouse with a refined Parisian brasserie charm, and fuses traditional French cuisine with Chicago’s River North culinary heritage. The two-story restaurant boasts custom curved stained-glass windows overlooking the bustling streets of Chicago. We had an amazing Brunch experience! The waitstaff was all very accommodating and made for a very pleasant dining experience. Matt and Scott have a great team at La Grande Boucherie…can’t wait to visit again.

Our favorite restaurant for brunch and dinner! The food, service, and ambiance are always on point. Our favorite is the French onion soup and French dip sandwich.

We had an amazing experience with very attentive service and incredible food. Everyone took care of us. I highly recommend this place for a nice dinner and quality food. The steak was out of this world. Good job in all levels. We will definitely come back.

Total melt down on Christmas night. Arrived on-time but still waited 45-60 minutes for our table. Bar service was unfriendly. Bread, the true test of a restaurant, was so so. Lobster bisque soup tasted like it was out of a can. Couldn't get the temperature of the steak right for the life of them, asked for medium-well, received medium-rare at best and had to send the steak back twice and still awful, they kept trying to reheat the same piece of meat rather than starting over. The medium-well burger was completely raw and cold on the inside and overcooked on the outside. The fries were more like college pub fries, not frites like you would expect at a French Bistro. Trays of dirty dishes behind us. Table only partially set.

Poor reservation management led to us not being seated until 75 minutes after our initial reservation time. The management left the host stand on their own, so there were no periodic updates nor organization. No apologies from management. After being seated we noticed the GM joking with other senior staff, meandering through the kitchen, behind the bar, only once going up to the host stand. I note this because he showed no regard for the customers waiting for their reservation, and made no effort to apologize for the disorganization ruining what should have been a nice Christmas experience. The food was fine, even good. But at this price point there are a multitude of restaurants that would provide a superior level of service, or, at a minimum, not require customers to wait over an hour for their reservation.

Great Xmas dinner, little bit of a wait past our reservation time, but understandable considering how busy they were. Every person in our party of 5 enjoyed every plate, especially the French onion soup, foie gras, and wagyu burger. Service started a little slow, but then proceeded with servers and waiter doting on us. Desserts were amazing, especially cheesecake.
