La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).

A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.

The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.

We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

                                          Delicious food and stellar service. The experience at La Palombe blew us away. We had duck & octopus to start, and shared cote de beouf for main. Sergio gave us brilliant pairing advice and we ended up with wines we loved. The best restaurant in High Street Kensington. Many exciting options on the menu, we’ll be sure to return.

                                          Had a wonderful dinner with friends at La Palombe last night. The owner James greeted us and checked on us regularly. The food, wine list and ambiance was fantastic. The service was top notch. Highly recommend.

                                          James, Jake and team have created a wonderful spot here….. we’re old (rather, I like to think, long-standing) Il Portico clients, so it is a joy to find another ‘local favourite’ on this strip. Lovely vibe, delicious food, good service. (Loved the cocktail du jour too.)

                                          this was an amazing experience- very kind and friendly people with amazing food from the british coutnryside and incredible wine selection- the place is also very quiet for coupple and formal business dinners-

                                          We dined here on NYE. Everything was as we hoped and more. We had a great time, no fuss, just good food and drinks. It’s not as cheap as to be your everyday neighbourhood joint, but it’s definitely a place we’ll return to.

                                          Amazing food from starter to dessert. We were a party of 4 and tried 4 different main courses- monkfish, venison, duck and rabbit. All were done so nicely. Great chat with the chef afterwards. The only shame is not knowing this place before and come earlier. Enjoy!
