La Strada Italian Kitchen and Bar, located in downtown Birmingham, is an authentic Italian Restaurant opened by Restaurateur and Chef Zharko Palushaj in late 2015. He began developing his concept in 2013 when he was named Restaurateur of the year by Hour Magazine. The menu features top quality of Italian/European products, variation of aged and fresh cheeses, salumis, pizzas, in-house made pasta, fish and seafood flown from all over the world. We also include top American beef and poultry , classic desserts and gelato. As our Chef-Owner's philosophy states, "Old world meets New world, where quality meets preparation and European style service meets expectations of the guests". I recently dined at La Strada, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was exquisite—perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a memorable evening. What truly set the experience apart, however, was the impeccable service provided by our waiter, AJ. From the moment we sat down, AJ was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured every detail of our dining experience was flawless. AJ went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their genuine enthusiasm and professionalism were truly impressive. If you’re looking for exceptional food and world-class service, look no further than La Strada. Be sure to ask for AJ—you won’t be disappointed!

Good food and nice ambience. However, I was shocked to see charge of $4 for warm tap water. It seemed very unethical. Table was too small. There Was hardly any space for foood to be kept in the table.

This is one of the best restaurants in Detroit metro area. Authentic and a special restaurant. Service, food, atmosphere are outstanding. Plus the new additional space and bar are beautiful.

We love this restaurant and the new bar area is beautiful! Food is just fabulous and service to go with it. We were so happy to find Mike behind the bar. We know how great he is from the other places he has worked. I love everything about this place.

We had to wait quite a while to be seated because they must have been understaffed. We couldn’t even get a cocktail at the bar while waiting. This is our third visit and the only one with a long wait.
