Inspired by the culture and flavors of New Orleans, Charleston and Savannah, Chef Grimley's Lagniappe- Amelia Island combines the traditions of the French Creole with unique twists on Southern culinary staples using only the freshest local ingredients. It was good. The service was outstanding! The food was ok. We arrived 45 minutes early and assumed we would just get a drink at the bar while we waited but were surprised to be seated right away. We ordered two cocktails and ordered an appetizer (calamari). The drinks were solid and the calamari was delicious. After the appetizer we ordered two more drinks and we shared a NY Strip. My wife’s drink came with a thick layer of pulp on top which made it almost smoothie like. Not very appetizing but our waitress immediately took the drink, had it strained and it was good. My second drink off their menu was a blackberry bourbon lemonade. Not my favorite, but it was fine. The steak was pretty disappointing. The flavor was good and it was cooked medium rare as requested but it was definitely a bit on the tough side, not like a typical, quality strip. Regardless, we ate it and thanked our server for her amazing attentiveness and service. Overall the experience was fine, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to go back.

Service and food were amazing. Loved the shrimp basket, lamb lollipops and the braise of the day delivered great flavor. The portions are huge and great value for the money.

We had another great meal. Service was great and it felt like a warm place to enjoy a meal. Shrimp creole was delicious.

It was a beautiful evening in Amelia Island so we sat outside on the patio by the fire pit. It made for the perfect backdrop of a New Year’s Eve.

Our NYE dinner was great overall! My L fashioned was well done and my husband’s draft beer was great from Mocama. He had a cup of gumbo that needed a little more spice and the crab imperial which was an amazing amount of crab! I had the pork chop. It was delicious however it came on top of Mac and cheese and a few green beans. There was a sauce that covered the bottom of the plate that truthfully ruined the pasta. It would be better on the side or with just a bit under the meat. The atmosphere is always good and our server Stella was wonderful.

We decided to sit at bar even though we had a table reservation. Drew was friendly and gave good service. Great Old Fashions.We had cheese board and the selections were excellent.The Dino short rib was outstanding did not like sides but understand black eye peas and greens are a NYE tradition.
