                                                                                      Lattanzi is an excellent restaurant with fine food and very attentive service. We came to celebrate our anniversary after the theatre crowd left and had a great time.

                                                                                      This was an after show dinner for us. That said, we were still impressed with the efficiency of the kitchen and would return for a pre-show meal in the future for that reason. We also found the service VERY attentive, from the greeting, coat check, and table service. The food was solid. Not spectacular, but very solid. Only perceived shortcoming was the cannoli which did not feature a filling with a texture that I’m used to. It was too soft, almost melting in texture that made we wonder if the ricotta-based filling had been prepared well or maybe even stored properly. I took the risk and ate it and 24hrs later, I’m fine. Maybe that’s how it’s prepared in regions of Italy with which I’m unfamiliar. In sum, this was a nice, elegant restaurant with good food, great service and easy walking distance to most theaters.

                                                                                      The food was shockingly bad. My linguini with clam sauce was sauceless, dry, and flavorless. My boyfriend's tortelloni had thick, rubbery pasta, a dry filling, and a sauce that tasted like crushed tomatoes straight out of a can. My bean soup was fine. Inviting dining room. Friendly waiters. But terrible food. It's hard to mess up basic Italian food so badly but they did.
