You know how it is when you take someone out to lunch and you want everything to be perfect. Well, so it was at Layla. It couldn't have been better. The service was wonderful and my guest who is celebrating her recent engagement was thrilled. Thank you again for such a wonderful environment and such good cuisine.

The hotel looks charming from the outside. There is no self-parking on the property - it’s valet only so if you want to self-park do so on the street. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant were very nice. The patio is certainly a lovely place to sit in warm weather. We were given the option of sitting by the window or more interior, which was nice. Our table was unbalanced and so it rocked slightly. Our server was very pleasant. They brought the food out in a strange manner - our entrees were brought out about 5 min after our appetizers, which felt poorly-timed and like we were being rushed. The food was fairly tasty overall. My husband had a lovely cocktail. The Caesar Salad was average, nothing extraordinary. My mushroom toast was satisfying. My husband had a steak sandwich which was a little undercooked and under-seasoned. Our kids enjoyed their meals. When my son accidentally spilled some water on the table the food runner asked if we needed another napkin to clean it up. I accepted this and cleaned up the water and they then seemed to impatiently ask if I was done so they could take the extra napkin away. It felt a little odd, like we were putting them out or taking too long. The prices were in line with typical restaurant prices. All in all it wasn’t a bad meal, but not a terribly memorable meal either.

We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and I must say the food is better than ever. Staff is engaged, welcoming and very friendly. Very pretty restaurant. Only downside is in the winter months the tables by the windows are freezing in the evening.

Our server Lexi was very attentive and friendly. The dishes that we tried were excellent. The atmosphere very pretty, light and bright. We very much enjoyed our time at Layla's.
