The Leopold Sportsmans Club is located at the start of the Bellarine Peninsula. We are large family friendly venue with room for large groups, huge alfresco area over looking the bowling green, sports bar, function room, beer garden and a kids playground.

Our club specialises in classic affordable bistro cuisine with specialty nights throughout the week such as Parmi night and Steak night. We have lunch and dinner seven days a week, with all-day dining over the weekend.

We provide a selection of popular and local wines and beers as well as our team mixing up our signature cocktails.

Great venue however a couple of meals were just average sadly. The chicken & prawn/ scallops dish was over cooked resulting in dry chicken breast and dry prawns. The Pad Thai was very good however. Club has a large menu with a good variety of, could enlarge choices for vegans.

Very disappointing compared to previous visits over the years. Gone downhill and restaurant pricing for less than average food. Visited many other venues over the past few weeks and every one of those were great. Don’t usually give negative reviews but in this instance felt we should so others are informed.

The live music was way too loud, we had to scream to hear each other, which isnt quite what we were after having a 6.30 family birthday dinner. We left with headaches and didnt stay for the planned dessert.

We had good service everybody loved there meals they bought the birthday cakes out for us which was nice and they even had candles because we forgot ours overall service was great even though it was very busy.

We have eaten lunch and or dinner several times at the sporties club and never been disappointed in fact we’ve raved about the good food to anyone who has asked if we’ve eaten at sportiest but last night it was a miss on all 5 meals if there is a new chef please learn to cook kangaroo, chicken, pasta & hamburgers!! At least we were refunded for two meals after a long discussion to the manager which was nice but not enough recompense for a chef who cut into the thicker piece of 2 long slender fillets of kangaroo and returned the plate via the bar staff after it sent back and instructed that it was the way kangaroo is cooked. My husband was insulted by the response from the kitchen. We have eaten well prepared kangaroo many times now and it was truly over cooked. It was very disappointing and annoying being treated as grey haired oldies who are not able to differentiate between medium rare and over cooked. We were not being able to eat all 5 meals along with the embarrassment of taking our London guests to a place we had raved about which was not up to a good standard
