Decent food. Absolutely horrible service. Sat for 20+ minutes without any acknowledgment or water or anything. Kept ordering things that never showed up (bottles of water, glasses of wine, etc) until we asked 2-3 times. Kept having to track down servers. Could not get our server to look at us or check on us. Eventually went up to the bar to try to get a drink. We were there for a birthday / NYE celebration and had planned to stay for a while, ordering dessert etc but we were so frustrated by the inattentive service that we left as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, like everywhere else, help is at a shortage especially on big holidays. Our waitress had way too many tables, but she tried her best to keep her cool. The menu is extensive and one picks from many courses. We’ve dined on non holidays and had great service so we will keep coming back.

Server was overwhelmed. Wine tasted stale, like it was from a previously opened bottle days ago. We had to ask another server to get our drinks after over 20 minutes since we ordered and we didn’t get everything we ordered and paid for. The server that took our original drink and appetizers order never came back to take our dinner order. We had to wave down another server. Very disappointed considering it was New Year’s Eve and my previous experience at the Seaport location was excellent. I will never go to the Chestnut Hill location again.

HUGE disappointment! I don’t remember last time I was so upset with a restaurant in Boston area. I wish I went somewhere else. I chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration, and it was a bad experience! Why bother asking the occasion when I make a reservation if you do nothing about it? I even wrote a note and was so hopeful. When we arrived, there was no one at the host desk. We waited for several minutes and I had to go to the bartender to ask to sit us. Our server Meg was okay, very basic service. I doubt she knows the menu well. We didn’t like our food, it was plain. My tuna was burnt even though it was medium-rare. The drinks were fine, the interior was pretty. Unfortunately this is not enough. Ruined birthday dinner. There are so many other restaurants in the area that are much better than Limani. If I were you I’d go somewhere else.
