   This is a little known secret of the Purbecks, every bit as good as the best hotel restaurants in Wareham and Corfe that are more expensive and much harder to book. The dishes on the simple menu are all first rate (well done, chef!), wine choice great, service excellent and the terrace view outside on a summer evening to die for. In the winter, snug too, with a fire in the lounge for those who arrive early.

   A pleasant experience with good food and excellent service. Tables are rather small so lots of shifting things about to make room. Also a bit close together.

   Absolutely brilliant service and great advice on the food, drinks and local area. The food was really lovely and the ambience perfect.

   Last night of our weeks self catering holiday across the road in west Lulworth. Was recommended by a taxi driver we’d used earlier in the week and did not disappoint. The Scallop starter was the best I’ve tasted and Hubble loved his prawn crab gratin. The whole Cornish sole on the bone could also not be faulted. Treated ourselves to a bottle of Sancerre to complement it all. Staff were helpful and friendly and the setting is beautiful - watching the sun set behind the hills. Unfortunately couldn’t manage a dessert but the ones we saw looked good.

   Fabulous experience overall including food and service. Only fault was the cheesecake was still a bit frozen but otherwise quality and freshness of ingredientes were there. Service always with a smile and calm atmosphere.

   Interesting menu with an Italian slant. My wife had an excellent Risotto. I had a prawn & crab dish both excellent.

    Charming, relaxed hotel restaurant on a pretty hillside above West Lulworth, busy with August traffic heading back from Lulworth Cove. Excellent fresh food, prepared with great care and the staff member who served us was enthusiastic and helpful. All in all, a good holiday evening.
