Owned and operated by the friendly and energetic couple, Owen and Mindi McGlynn of Asheville Proper, they wanted to create an inviting and easygoing space just for locals, located in North Asheville, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown life.

First trip to Little Ds. Our table was ready when we arrived and the other couple we were eating with were seated. It seemed strange that there's no place to hang up a coat which took us a few minutes to navigate while our server was trying to get drink orders from us. A minor issue but annoying. From there the evening was good. The menu is nice and concise - they aren't trying to do everything. Our server described dishes to help us in our decision making. Since Asheville is just re-opening from an 8 week lack of potable water, things aren't quite normal yet and that was reflected in the wine list being a little different day to day per the server. Food arrived nicely paced and all was well prepared. If I had a critique of the food it'd be that it was a little salty for my tastes. But all very tasty. The space is cozy - it's a store front in a neighborhood strip mall after all. If I lived closer I'd probably go more often.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while but the hurricane put a damper on plans. What a lovely evening. The autumn daiquiri and gingerbread White Russian were two of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in Asheville. Swordfish delightful. Can’t wait to return.

Quickly becoming our "go-to." Dependable service and food. Consistently excellent. Wonderful food choices, Jay, our server, is always on top of things. Highly recommend.

Delicious food and attentive, but unobtrusive, service. We sat at the bar and had a perfect Cote du Rhone accompaniment. Definitely feels like a warm, neighborhood spot. We will be back!

The food was very good. The service, after an initial wait, was good and the food came out quickly. Beautiful atmosphere. Locals and will return. This was our second visit.

We’ve been there begins & love it! Brought friends for the first time & they were very impressed! Said the duck was as good as the duck they recently had in Paris! Congrats!
