Living Foods aims to bring the Kauai community healthy food choices, upscale groceries, and a fun, casual café and restaurant environment for Kama’aina & Tourists alike to gather. At Living Foods, Ohana means bringing guests together around high-quality and socially conscious products and ingredients on a daily basis.

Living Foods features a fully-stocked grocery with ready-made to-go items as well as more permanent fixtures for weekly grocery needs. Living Foods café features coffee and fresh baked goods, and is open daily. The all-day restaurant at Living Foods will feature breakfast, lunch, and dinner, highlighting menu items such as Fried Rice, Bibimbap, Aguachile, and Smash Burger and is open from 7am to 10pm.

Whether just enjoying Kauai for a week or more permanently, Living Foods is a community where guests can reliably source quality products to feed themselves and their families. At Living Foods, we are always celebrating the craft of Aloha.

The food was so fresh and delicious. I had the fish sando with striped marlin - outstanding. Our server was delightful and the food was served promptly. Can’t wait to go back!

First time here. Food was good. Some of it more spicy than expected. Deviled eggs have lots of chili oil. Fried fish was dense and came with sauce that was too spicy. No regular tartar. Charcuterie was good. Salads good. Do accommodate food allergies.

The food was terrific. I had the pan roasted chicken and it was perfectly prepared. It came in a little cast iron skillet with roasted vegetables that were finished in the juices from cooking the chicken. Our kids each had burgers and they were happy. The homemade tots were delicious as well. My wife had a salad and really enjoyed it. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was nice.

The food was delicious and they do a great job there. However they have expanded their seating beyond the Lanai and have placed tables in unfortunate places. We had a tiny table for four which couldn’t hold our drinks and food at the same time, was right near store entrance with many people walking right by, and the parking lot with trucks and cars noise. There were other seating areas with sofas great for coffee or to go snacks but not for trying to eat dinner. Will return but ask for lanai seating.

So much potential but underwhelming and disappointing. The “smash burgers” are not smash burgers at all which typically are thin with crispy edges. These burgers were regular, unseasoned, undercooked burgers. As for the fish and chips and fish sando, the fish was so dry but thankfully the house made aioli is delicious because we had to slather the fish with it because it was so dried out. The Ceasar salad was also pretty flavorless. The French fries are fantastic and our server was also wonderful. Nice setting too. The menu was so alluring -fresh ono!-but sadly was not good. Such a bummer.

I really wanted this dinner to be amazing, and yet it wasn't as hoped. The setting was quiet, sitting outside on a covered patio during a rain, with a great market just steps away. All the plates of food around us looked amazing, and I had high hopes. Our server was excited about the ribeye steak special. We both ordered that, and the concerns began. First, it look a very long time to deliver: 80 minutes from sit-down to entree delivery. Our server kept us informed that the kitchen was backed up, but seemingly it was just on steak entrees. The wait was long enough that the overall experience was absolutely tarnished. Second, the steak itself wasn't great. I've had much better elsewhere; the temperature was overdone, and the steak itself lacked substantial flavor. Thus, we were disappointed not to have enjoyed other entrees, which would have been great. I'd likely come back for another try, as the service was excellent in spite of kitchen challenges and the other dishes showed visual potential. I'd stay away from the steaks though.

It's fine but I think the other options adjacent are better. At the same time they always have a table open so in a pinch it'll be good. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. We had a reservation and a party walked up ten second before us, they gave the nice table to them and put us by the kitchen. Not sure why you wouldn't reserve the better table for the people who go out of the way...
