One of LA’s best Italian restaurants, Locanda Veneta aims to transport you to Venice, Italy. Where the freshest and often deceptively simplest ingredients are combined and cooked into art. The cozy room, often dotted with celebs, is elegant but there’s nothing fussy about the menu. Here you’ll find favorites such as a fresh-vegetable minestrone; wild mushroom risotto; and spinach and ricotta cheese gnocchi. Garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil dress many of the pasta, meat and fish dishes; and the veal scaloppini gets a different preparation every night. When an Italian spot is as classic as this, how can you skip a dessert of tiramisu? Our extensive wine list complements your meal, with selections mainly from Italy, France and California.

We ordered: Minestrone, Lasagna, Ribeye, Branzino, amaretto cheesecake, and glasses of white and rose recommended by our server. EVERY dish was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Our party of three was delighted with our selections. The wait staff was attentive, helpful, and personable. Locanda Veneta is one of our favorite spots!

We really loved our dinner here, it was my first time and I’m gluten free. The GF pasta was super good. My boyfriend had a seafood pasta dish and he loved it, tons of seafood too! Wine was great, our waiter was knowledgeable and came with some great recommendations. We will be going again soon, that’s for sure!

Outstanding food and service. Unfortunately, there were a couple of groups that were excessively loud that night (no fault of the restaurant) which was difficult for noise level in such a small space. I still love Locanda Veneta and will return again and again.

A favorite. Great old school Italian food and ambience with excellent service. Portions are generous. Good wine by the glass selection.
