                                                                                  Lola’s was my partner and I’s New Years Eve dinner. We made a reservation, paid $25 per person for the reservation, and we were never able to eat. The restaurant had clearly not prepared in any way for the Holiday. We waited over an hour before even being sat, then another 45 minutes before any server (who all clearly saw us as we were sat in-front of the service station at the back of the restaurant) greeted us. Then even longer wait for drinks, at which point we decided to leave as the restaurant was clearly not prepared to serve even two customers. TL:DR: I cannot even review the food as I did not get to eat anything, service was horrendous.

                                                                                  NYE was a horrible experience for all involved. OpenTable gave out too many reservations and had to wait an hour even though we had a reservation. Then another hour for the food. Waitstaff was short staffed and weren’t waiting on folks. Saw many patrons getting up from their tables to talk to wait staff to get water, drinks, any sort of service. Probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Food is very mid on top of it all. Good neighborhood vibe and decent prices, just don’t go if it’s busy. If it’s busy, just turn around and go somewhere else. I personally will not go back. Food not worth it honestly.

                                                                                  The food was delicious. We ordered the chicken that came in a skillet. Probably the best chicken we have had. The soup was great too. No room for dessert.

                                                                                  Our server was nice but he mumbled and we could hardly hear him. He was also very busy and seemed to be running away from us every time he came to the table. After an hour of waiting for the food, we finally asked for an update and we were told it was coming. Another 20 min pass and we get a lame excuse about "how long it takes to cook pork tenderloin." The pork, that we ordered two of, was very overcooked and definitely not medium or medium rare. I needed force on the steak knife to break through the outer coating. Wouldn't have mattered had they had paella with angel hair available. This is one of my favorite places in town; I've lived here 15 years, but I wish they had Just been honest that they forgot to put our order in or messed up.
