Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.

It's no longer the good tasting lotus of siam of few years ago. Reprocessed food. Much better options in China Town.

Made reservations. But still had to wait 30 minutes before getting seated. There were empty tables everywhere. They were just slow. Ordered Pad See Ew. Didn't come out. Still got charged for it on the bill. Party of 5. But server put down 6 to get automatic 20% service charge. Food was not as good as before. Have to say, this is truly sad. This used to be one of our favorite spots. A must stop whenever we're in Vegas. But I think this is it; we'll never come back.

This place never disappoints! They were also able to accommodate our large party last minute. The food and service was top notch. The garlic prawns are a must have. I highly recommend!

Parking is crazy here, but that's because the food here is absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere, can be a date night or just dinner with friends and family kind of place. Bar has seating, and the bartenders are attentive and fast.

Simply the best restaurant in Vegas. They get everything right. Every time. I don’t know how they maintain this level of greatness, but they have.

We were a group of 4. We had 2 orders of deep fried sea bass with tempura veggies, deep fried prawns appetizer, fried catfish salad and the curry with shrimp. All were excellent. Had the spicy jalapeño margaritas- great choice. Too full for dessert. Portions were large and everything was reasonably priced! Restaurant was clean and staff was great! Highly recommend this location over the one at red rock resort. We ate about 4 pm with reservation. Which I also recommend. Was packed by 5pm.

Solid meal, tasty. Restaurant is worn out and a bit tired. Noise level is high and food portions are on the smaller size versus your normal Thai places.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered the garlic shrimp, chicken lollipops, khao soi and fried rice. Friendly service and everything wr ordered was super flavorful.

Not what I expected. This restaurant was highly recommended but maybe it was what I ordered. The chicken lollipop was deep fried and average at best. Main course Chicken with basil had a whole bunch of capsicum with no basil. I was told that it was part of the chili basil sause. Disappointed.
