Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.

Food was delicious! Everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed was we had. I got the chicken khao soi and it was really tasty. Service was great too.

Second visit after many years and it did not disappoint. Staff is super. All dishes tried were good. Hard to please asian parents approved.

Service was quick and attentive. Our group of three enjoyed egg rolls, beef satay, basil fried rice with fried tofu, yellow curry, beef satay and sticky rice. Each dish was better than the last, and the pineapple upside down cake sundae knocked our socks off. Lotus has been a favorite for a long time, and their consistency in delivering an ambient guest experience, paired with outstanding quality of food and drink, is what keeps us coming back. Thank you yet again!

Fantastic tastes and the portions were shareable for 2. More pricey than would have liked, but can’t deny it wasn’t worth the remarkable flavors and textures.

We were here two years ago and the food was so good even ordered out to go. Unfortunately, this time the food is no way as good as two years ago. It seems like it’s no longer the same chef is cooking. The curry has No curry taste even we ordered level 2 and level 6 of spiciness. The crispy duck was not the same way of cooking. Last time the skin was really crispy and the meat was tender. This time they used a lot of battered, but the skin wasn’t crispy plus the meat dried out. The crab fried rice ($38) the waitress recommended is a ripoff. Don’t order it. Definitely will not come back because it’s not the same chef cooking them anymore.

The food was delicious, and the service was great. The khao soi with short rib, garlic prawns, and chicken salad were incredible. We also got the pad see ew, Thai fried rice, and yellow curry, which were all tasty and enjoyable.

Not as good as I remember it being in the past. Probably not going back again which is a shame I've been coming here for years starting back to the Sahara location.

Over priced Thai food. Used to be good but quality has gone down tremendously. Stay clear of this tourist trap. With all that is going on with Vegas, there are plenty of other options.
