Located in a historical home in the resort town of Dana Point, California, Luciana's Ristorante has been serving the Orange County community for over 40 years. The decor is reminiscent of a cozy European-style inn, establishing it as one of Orange County's most romantic restaurants. Awarded the Southern California Restaurant Writers gold medal since 1996, three stars from the California Restaurant Writers, Zagat's Survey "America’s 1,000 Top Italian Restaurants 2008" and an Award of Excellence for its wine list, Luciana's has been setting the standard for classic as well as innovative Italian cuisine.     The waiters are attentive and the food is excellent. We love the atmosphere of the library room. I have eaten there about a dozen times and have never had a meal that was less than excellent.

    Food was delicious but service was lacking. Took a long time to take order and In between to take plates. Just seems to be a disconnect since there was plenty of staff around and empty tables but seems like waitress was the only one that would deal with use. We had to ask for forks and knives after appetizers once the main course came out. Just seems for a fine dining experience they need to be better trained.

    Had a great time! The food was excellent and the staff, as always, were warm and welcoming. The bartender wasn’t familiar with a white Negroni, but no hard feelings — everything else more than made up for it.

    I made a reservation for what I thought was May 29th but apparently I made it for the 30th for eight people. The restaurant was amazing and accommodated us immediately and without wait. Chris, our server, was stupendous.

    Service was excellent by Cheryl! Food excellent! Patio seating makes you feel like a step child eating off steel tables without table cloths like everywhere else in the restaurant!

    Lucianas is a DP institution and remains quaint and a great date night location. The food is good with consistent quality. Staff is fantastic and Marco at the bar was wonderful. I think the interior could use a freshening up and the unisex bathrooms are just plain gross for a nicer restaurant. Valet was full and parking was a pain. For my money I'd pay a bit more and head to Bottega Angelina's or even Ciao Pasta for better Italian and a better experience.
