Algehele indruk is prima; aankleding van de zaak is prachtig. De bediening is met momenten ook prima maar niet constant, zoals je wel mag verwachten in een dergelijke zaak. Het was niet druk en er liep voldoende personeel rond. Onze ober wist best hoe het moest maar we hadden de indruk ze allemaal weinig zin hadden die dag. Het voorgerecht, antipasti op een drie verdiepingen serveer schaal, was voortreffelijk. Bedoelt voor 2 personen maar voldoende voor 3. De hoofdgerechten vielen niet allemaal in goede aarde, helaas. De tomaten saus op de pizza was redelijk smakeloos. Het spaghetti bijgerecht was niet gaar en de mellanzane parimigiano was lauwwarm. De Tiramisu was in het midden nog enigszins bevroren; dan valt je niks meer in. De espresso daarentegen was heerlijk zijdezacht zoals een Italiaanse koffie betaamt. De ober kwam geen enkel moment tussendoor checken of alles oké en voldoende was… Heel eerlijk, ik heb zeker beter Italiaans gegeten op andere plekken en dat doet toch pijn in de portemonnee. Aan het einde werd het bijgerecht niet op de rekening gezet ter compensatie. Al met al een matige ervaring, jammer. Wij zullen hier niet meer terugkeren.

We hebben te lang moeten wachten op ons eten bediening was oké naar niet uitnodigend. Voor de prijs voor een pasta kan je op betere plaatsen eten.

Arrived 15 mins early for our reservation. Had to ask for waiter service for 15 mins. Asked for water and a cocktail first. Waiter didn’t understand my request for a vodka martini with a flash of vermouth and limes as garnish. What came out was a golden colored drink which the manager took back. I been after my frustration now 40 mins into our arrival asked for a plain and simple straight chilled vodka. Now onto the food, we asked for some bread and oil as we were quite hungry and planned to enjoy a slice of bread with our cocktails prior to our Caesar salad . The waiter who was more intent on talking to what appeared to be close friends of his instead of taking care of his assignments thought we should get the bread and oil with the salads. The entrees turned out to be very very good. I had the chicken scallopini my wife the lasagna. No desert or coffee after we were asked if the evening was a special occasion to which I had already indicated it was our anniversary. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment, lack of service bring the main reason.

The food was very bland and unseasoned. The polpette al sugo could be best described as someone putting a carton of passata in a microwave and warmed and 4 ikea meatballs all served in an Indian curry dish with 3 slices of white loaf dizzled in a bit of oil. The arancine were very hit and miss as to whether they had any ragu in them at all, the were mainly saffron coloured rice that lacked seasoning also. Saving grace on the food front was the branzino and desserts. The drinks were all delicious, apart from one being knocked over by the staff when clearing the table. The staff seemed a little rushed in their delivery, and the kitchen seemed to put out meals as if they wanted to finish early, causing confusion with waiting staff trying to find the food for tables. Handy place to go for pizza or pasta before a show, I would think, but I wouldn't go for a special meal again.

Service was exceptional & the rendition of Happy Birthday for my husband by two of the waiting staff & the delicious tiramisu was very much appreciated! Unfortunately our chicken & veal dishes we chose were a little dry & disappointing. I would go again but maybe try pasta next time.

We were satisfied by our evening, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the restaurant itself is very beautiful. The staff were very attentive and patient (we took a while to order!) and always on the look out for our needs. I was pleased to know that the restaurant catered for gluten vegetarian/vegan and gluten intolerance. My partner had the beef ragu arancini, being a huge fan of arancini, he was slightly disappointed by the taste, whilst I had the vegetable soup which was delightful. Our starters were followed by a Carbonara and sea food GF penne for myself. Both delicious and I was pleased to see the generous portion of seafood on my plate, quite rare in other restaurants. We ended our meal with a tiramisu to share.

Post Xmas things were quiet, but the food and ambience were fine, but I wish we had been provided or even asked for a larger table that would have given us both a view of the surroundings. There were plenty of larger tables available, but we got stuck in a corner on a smaller one.

Atmosphere is great and the service was nice- not very good Italian food. Pasta was very undercooked and I do not believe they used any seasoning on the overcooked meatballs
