   Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic time at the lucky cat, the staff was really friendly and nice, couldn’t ask for a better service, the waitress who served us with glasses and ginger hair if I’m not mistaken was really professional and walked us thru the menu, another great gentleman if I’m not mistaking his name was Rafi a gentleman with glasses came up and asked us how was the food and how it was going, definitely will be returning soon

   What an amazing restaurant. The food was phenomenal and the ambience was amazing. Went for my husbands birthday with my daughters and the entire family came away in awe. The service was on point too.

   We had a lovely evening, but this is very much style over substance. The room, views, music, vibes are all very energetic and exciting but the food was average and the service erratic. We did the set menu and they replaced the octopus with padron peppers without discounting or letting us pay the difference for something else. They removed food while we were still eating and it didn’t help that we were on the counter and they were reaching over us. The couples either side of us angled their stools, so we couldn’t even get near the counter to eat comfortably. We each had a glass of wine and they were the tiniest of measures, but this is nothing new for a Gordon Ramsey establishment. The highlight was watching the chefs make the sushi, they are artists and so so skilled. I want to go back and sit at a table and see if the service and food is better. Suggest ordering cocktails or wine by the bottle not the glass!! We enjoyed our evening overall, but for £120 a head for a mid week treat, I was expecting something more special.

   We found everything about the evening at the lucky cat amazing except for one thing, the bill. Caught up in the atmosphere and I was lucky enough to have my request for a window table granted and given things happened very quickly a laps of judgement ensued. Sitting at our west facing table watching the sun set we started ordering our food and wine. My wife doesn’t eat sushi so I thought the steak would be an alternative amongst other dishes, note all meats have mp (market price). Now I know I should have asked what the mp was for 10oz sirloin but caught up in the moment converting grams into ounces the question slipped by and at no point was the mp offered. As mentioned the evening was amazing with help on the sake menu and pairings, the views of London with the setting sun then the city in lights and the food was sublime. We were taken to another area for the views, and a round of cocktails on the house, which we didn’t fully understand at the time until the bill arrived bringing us back to earth with a crash. The market price for sirloin steak from Suffolk according to Gordon Ramsay is £255 taking our bill to over £600 for two people. So be warned check the mp as even at 61yrs you’re always learning. 😅 Would I go again, in time as it was good but it would take a lot to replicate the night, minus the bill, but that said I would recommend the experience, just be warned about mp.

   Phenomenal experience!! Reservations for after the theatre. We were welcomed and seated promptly. The food and service were impeccable. Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants always shine in these regards. The design and decor were over the top as well. Nicely done. I’ve already recommended it to many friends.

    I wrote this review while sat on the Lucky Cat Bar… Gordon you have outdone yourself with Lucky Cat Bishopsgate Turning 44 I wanted to come somewhere with a vibe and this did not disappoint from the views to the egg fried rice (best I’ve ever had, what a lovely table side experience). We were moved to the bar after our meal 2 hours later - bar staff are amazing, great mixologists. Pay attention to detail they made us feel like we’re on holiday. BIG LOVE TO Ali, Marco and Mo. Cannot fault these guys on their dedication, customer service and passion. Thank you for making my birthday special I will definitely be back as soon as I can!
