For a new to the area restaurant it was an exceptional experience. Clearly the staff were very well trained and knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The quality of food was outstanding and menu was easy to follow. A very polished establishment and one I will return to very soon.

The ambience, waiter and manager were very good. The only issue was that the stout I ordered on tap was only three quarters full (2.5 inches from the top of the glass) and the steak was very chewy/ oily. Otherwise the food was fine. I don't think the food would be worth it at full price but using the set menu option it was fine.

Hello Andrew I will review the beer pour as that sounds most odd. Our steak is not usually chewy and very happy to exchange in future and you can of course have the steak with the sauce on the side. First time at this venue loved the atmosphere of the place all four of our party had a very good evening main course could have been a bit hotter but overall a good experience

Cant really go wrong here, but the cod cheeks, ham hock terrine, halibut, lamb shoulder special, cheesecake and dark chocolate mousse were all superb!

First time to Lussmans and we will return. Not often all 3 courses are of a high quality and delicious - could not fault them. Good alcohol free options. Great ambience and decor. Good atmosphere , busy and buzzing. Excellent service - an all round excellent experience. So pleased to have a good quality restaurant focusing on sustainability a a priority. Looking forward to your Spring menu.

Fabulous evening , I have food intolerances which were very easily catered for - they have this most amazing webpage that you can input your intolerances and it shows you what is suitable for you on the menu. The waiting staff also understand how all the food is cooked so can also advise accordingly. They also have the most amazing espresso martinis! Worth a visit just for them!

Very good menu, table layout similar to Loch fyne, Reasonable priced but 12.5% service charge is pushing the boundary

As with the Hitchin Lussman's, the food and service were second to none. Very pleasant décor. However, the acoustics were dreadful. One noisy table of eight meant that nobody else at any of the other tables could have a proper conversation. Of course, this is not a Lussman's problem alone, but because the eating areas are fairly confined, the noise problem is more acute. We couldn't hear the waitress, and she could hear us! Also, a small table for two was really a table for one. We had trouble fitting two water glasses, two wine glasses, condiments and two dinner plates onto the one small circular table. All these things were just irritations though. We still had a nice time.

Hello Martin The two areas to the right of the restaurant as you walk in ( garden and front room) are better re noise. We have baffles on the ceiling which make it far better than the long roon with all the plants. This area we could not add baffles due to the style of the ceiling, hence the plants that help in a small way. Re tables, please so let us know and we can usually accomodate a change of position. Very good service and Welcome with good choices on the menu and the wine list is interesting (not the usual plonk) and worth looking into. Not a "value meal outing" but a very nice place for a pleasant evening of dining with friends. 4 of us all had good meals apart from my main course of Lamb shank with mashed potato. It was the smallest lamb shank I have ever eaten in 40 plus years of dining out. I have certainly had more meat on a rabbit leg so this I trust was an anomaly! Not a show stopper but a disappointment.
