    Join us for our exclusive Chef’s Counter experience. This 14 seat intimate culinary journey is where passion and flavor intersect, providing a unique and memorable experience. Prepare to indulge in an unforgettable tasting menu by Michelin-starred chef Ryan Ratino. We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions, but need at least 2 days notice to prepare.                                                 Excellent food, amazing service and just overall a great experience. We were one of the tables closest to the live music (saxophone), which made it an occasional challenge to understand our waiters. If you struggle with hearing, ask for a table further away from the loudspeaker.

                                                I've been here three times for special occassions. In March 2024 it was a wonderful experience, and I raved about it to many ppl. The food itself was dynamic and worth the price. The service was consistent and plates came out at a good rhythm. Recently, I've come twice in one week for special ocassions in Dec 2024 and the food was inconsistent, and both times we were at the table nearly 4 hours! Not because we wanted a relaxed sobremesa experience but because the plates were coming out every half hour. For the price the portions are ridiculously small, and sometimes small portions make sense when the flavors are dynamicm but last night they werent! Even the oysters just tasted like fresh oysters with coarsely chopped celery. Everyones wagyu steak came in different portions last night. Last week, the portions were about 30% larger. No ideas why there are 10 people in the kitchen and the output is inconsistent flavor-wise, timing-wise and portion-wise. We spent $1k on dinner for 4 people last night and left hungry, and in pain from sitting 4 hours. It was bizarre and something needs to change.

                                                Lovely space and attentive staff. Portions were so small as to be ridiculous. The flat wear is baby size, I can assume to make the food look bigger. I have had dinner at many fine restaurants and the food was very good. The portion sizes seemed like a joke at the very high prices. I thought possibly this was a satirical movie about the restaurant business. The music was too loud even away from the bar. A half sized glass of wine was >$20. The final insult was $29 for valet parking.

                                                Beautiful restaurant and design. Oddly playing hip hop, music and old disco songs? Food was very good, but portions are very small. The star of the show was the waiter Nick. Service was outstanding and made for a very pleasant experience.

                                                We had the fixed menu that started with “snacks”. They were very good and creative. Salad with pistachios was exceptional. Wagyu beef was excellent but had a lot of salt. Chicken very good and its truffle flavored sauce tab was very black trufflely. Open kitchen was fun to watch and hear Wines by the glass were reasonably priced and OK but not distinctive. The Black Pearl cocktail was fantastic with lots of flavors. Weirdly our only complaints were the flimsy small silverware and the slick granite tabletop that caused dishes to slide around. We felt dehydrated later that night from all the salt, so drink lots of water during the meal.

                                                Without a doubt, Maass is the best restaurant in Broward. To find a dining experience that even comes close, you would have to venture to Miami. The food was both unique and exceptional. The service was impeccable, and we owe a special thanks to Nathan, our server, for providing the ultimate dining experience at the chef’s counter. We enjoyed an amazing six-course tasting menu, perfectly complemented by the wine pairing. It was truly spectacular!
