Makana Lani is a unique dining experience located inside the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, on the 2nd Floor. We are open for breakfast buffet Monday-Friday 7a-11am Saturday and Sunday 7a-10am
Weekend Brunch is 10:30a-2pm

RESTAURANT CLOSED! My party of 7 came to our rsvp time and they were closed! I booked it early January and they didn’t call or anything to advise! So had to scramble to find a place to eat to celebrate a birthday!! Shame on you!

Restaurant was closed permanently and no notification was provided. Not sure why reservations were still allowed on OpenTable.

Note that this location is permanently closed as of Jan 1, even though OpenTable still allows future reservations. They plan to reopen in a new venue in the future, so stay tuned for their next chapter!

RESTAURANT was CLOSED !! PERMANENTLY !! !!Nobody there! I better not be charged the ridiculous credit card hold fee for this !! Really bad info on your part. !! I am done with Open Tabke—wrong a lot !!!

Per the hotel this restaurant closed, however, they are still posted on Open Table. It charged my card the reservation fee per person and could not cancel because I had to call the place, just to find out they are no longer in service. WTH.

We went to the restaurant with our family and waited for an hour. No one opened the restaurant, and the tables were not set up. No one notified us; there was no notice on the door. A lot of customers waited along with us. We left disappointed, confused, and concerned about the deposits we had paid. We tried calling the restaurant but there was no answer. I have not received my deposit refund either.

For $100 per person.. it was so overly priced for so little selection!! I’ve been to buffets for 1/2 the price with 3x what was served on the menu. Very disappointed and so embarrassing to have brought my family here for Christmas brunch. I see why there wasn’t much people dining! Never again!

Cons: First staff member (male) to approach our table silently filled our water; no greeting, no invitation to make our way to the buffet. Buffet didn’t have eggs and bacon very undercooked. Coffee was self serve and ran out, making us wait for more to brew. Crab would run out and we’d have to keep checking the line for refill. Saw a guest cutting the prime rib for himself because no one there to serve. Pros: The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Obviously understaffed and they were doing their best. Fun to speak with the pastry chef, who was encouraging guests to try the stolli, which was delicious. All the desserts and crab was very good. In spite of the shortcomings, we enjoyed our time there.
