Sungchul Shim, chef and owner of the Michelin star restaurant Kochi opens his second Michelin star restaurant Mari in Hell's Kitchen. At Mari (roll in Korean), Sung offers a tasting menu of street-food inspired Korean hand rolls, complemented by an extensive wine list and a selection of Korean spirits like soju and chungju.

Mari is offering a $145 per person seasonal tasting menu (along with a beverage pairing for $110) that explores the many facets of Korean cuisine through small plates and inventive hand rolls.

Due to the nature of our tasting menu, we are unable to accommodate vegetarian/vegan diets, gluten-free diets (if soy is not okay to consume), rice-free diets, allergies to fish, allium, sesame seeds/oil, and aversion to raw seafood. If you have any questions regarding food restrictions, please contact us before making a reservation.

We really enjoyed our meal and experience. Our server was amazing, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed eating at the counter and watching the team in action. The food was really interesting and delicious. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food that was not only filling but also packed full of flavour. There was complexity in beautiful simple ingredients. We were so well looked after by Marie and had a wonderful experience. Would recommend!

It definitely falls into a “special treat” category, but what a treat it is! Every dish is spot on, and the service is complimentary without being cloying. A great night.

Food was absolutely amazing. Service was phenomenal. They were running 30 minutes behind, contacted us in advance to let us know, asking if we could come later, and still were gracious enough to comp us drinks and menu upgrades. Would recommend to anyone who visits NYC to try!
