   Great sushi with a nice show from the chef. The team is very polite and lovely. Overall the experience was nice, but there were 2 things that dissapointed us: First: even though it is a nice close-up experience with the chef and it was great to see him work, the kitchen was not clean. If you are welcoming guests to your kitchen, at least you should wipe the stainless steel surfaces before the start of the service. The counter where the fish was prepared was fine, but the hob behind was dirty, which diminished our experience. Maybe they had a rushed day (the place was closed with shutters down up until a couple of minutes after our booking time, which also didn't feel very welcoming) I hope it's not the case for every sitting. Second: we felt like it was a bit pricey for what we got, after you finish the set menu, they asked if you want to repeat any dish, I ordered 1 tuna nigiri and they charged 15 euros for it. One single nigiri. On the positive side the fish was extremely fresh and delicious, and the bites were carefully prepared and presenred, it just needs a few tweaks for it to be the flawless experience that I was expecting.

   Superb experience, staff were very welcoming and the food and service was phenomenal throughout. Would thoroughly recommend visiting Matsukawa

   Unbelievably unique experience, so incredibly authentic, explosion of flavours in every single mouthful. The seating format is amazing and the unique opportunity to watch the chef while preparing/cooking our food was very special. Every dish was mind-blowing, each one better than the last, but all equally outstanding. The macha tiramisu was simply remarkable, I wanted more. Definitely return and 100% highly reccommend.

   Very authentic Japanese experience. It was really cool to see some Irish fish in the menu and everything was delicious. Would highly recommend

    Wonderful restaurant with great ambiance. A really quiet and relaxed place with a calm and nice music that just pairs well with the whole vibe of the staff. The food was amazing, everything very well made with fresh and high quality ingredients. The whole presentation of the plates were very well executed by the chef and the staff, who were always so friendly and attentive to the details in order to guarantee everyone’s satisfaction. I loved to hear the chef talking with another client about where their fishes were from. €100 per person for 18 dishes very well executed in 2h is a very fair price. Will definitely be back.
