Service from Elisabeth was excellent. Draft location near a window. Fix the drafty windows on the west side. Ambiance lacking versus the 9th South location. Good to see that Mirsad, the singing waiter, came along on the move. My Cioppino was hot and spicey, maybe too much so. Argula & beet salad had a dressing that didnt work. All in all, a goid effort.

Fine dining prices with strip mall-level upselling and food quality. Our waiter, though possessing an excellent tenor voice, recommended a dish with bread—even though the same bread was already on the table. The veal was so heavily breaded that I felt like I could have picked any meat from my frozen breaded meat selection at the local supermarket and wouldn’t have known the difference. The risotto left a lot to be desired; I think Gordon Ramsay would have thrown it out. My drink was too diluted, but my wife's was too strong. On the positive side, the waiter was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The ambiance was nice. This review is based on one visit, so perhaps ordering a different dish would have given me the experience other reviewers rave about. However, if I find myself in the area for a short time again, I’d personally avoid it.

Second day at the new location - much larger and spacious, not as intimate as the 900 South location. Food was fabulous and wine list impecable - we enjoyed an Etna Rossato and a red sangiovese/sagrantino blend.

It was such a beautiful atmosphere. The service was next level and the food was gorgeously presented and tasted out of this world. Definitely will return for every special occasion.

Fantastic food and great service. The whole vibe at Matteo is super cool. We had a great evening, and the place was full all night.

The food was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out as exceptional except for the constant upselling. We bought our own very expensive bottle of wine , but the serve tried to sell us a more expensive bottle from the restaurant. Everything was a potential to upsell , ruined our experience. Lastly, we asked for Sambuca with our espresso. and they didn’t have any. And you call yourself an Italian restaurant??
