It was our first visit to Medi-Bistro but will not be our last. We were a group of 11 for lunch on a Sunday and found it to be a delightful choice. Its central location in downtown White Plains with free parking in the garage made it very convenient. The ambiance is lovely—upscale but not stuffy. The food was amazing!! The stuffed vine leaves were a notch above the usual thanks to the pomegranate sauce, the grilled shrimp were excellent as were the hummus and the smoked eggplant spread. We tried a variety of main courses from chicken kabobs and lamb kabobs to roasted salmon and several stews—everything was excellent! At that point, we were pretty stuffed but we got several plates of baklava with Persian ice cream to share and were so glad we did!

I had never had Persian food in my life, and fortunately my first experience was at this restaurant. The food was excellent, the crowd was Persian (a great sign when you’re eating food and a restaurant that offers its own unique cuisine from that part of the world). I must also give high praise to the excellent service - The staff was professional, sincerely happy to serve our food and make our dining experience exceptional. (Parking is easy steps from the restaurant and they validate your parking as well).

The bartender/waiter was high-spirited and friendly, but not overbearing. I ordered a French 75 which she did not know how to make, but asked me for the recipe. She then made a delicious 75. I ordered the Ghormeh Sabzi which is a dish I make at home. The dish lacked depth of flavor and was far too soupy. It did not have the sweet, pungent flavor of fenugreek and dried limes. The wait staff was efficient and pleasant.

We both had lamb and it was SO good! Cocktails and dessert (pistachio rose ice cream) were very tasty. And the restaurant was not loud, which I really appreciate!

This place is gem. Food is flavorful, generous portions. We ordered lamb shank, salmon & chicken kebabs. The lamb shank was fall off the bone soft and the sauce was very tasty. The salmon was tender to taste - perfectly cooked. The ambience is tasteful and staff is friendly. A must visit.

It's a nice restaurant, smaller than we thought it was but nice. The staff were nice. The food was really good. For appetizers we had the Grilled shrimp and the hummus. We also got the house greek salad with the feta cheese on the side. Everything went together so well. The shrimp were so succulent, they were amazing and really made everything come together with the mixture of tastes. For dinner hubby got the fish (I think it was Sea Bass), he loved it. I got the Saltoni but with both Steak kebobs. The steak was cooked perfect because it was soft medium cooked and tasty. I would have liked it a little more medium rare but it was so tender in your mouth. almost like melting in your mouth. The Basmati rice was so light, it comes with shredded carrots on top and it was good. We had the Sauvignon Blanc wine with the dinner and it was a good brand with a great taste that also went well with the food.
