   We were really disappointed with our Mother’s Day brunch experience. We were there for about two hours, and waited over an hour for our food—with no apology or acknowledgment from the staff. Our server forgot items multiple times, rarely checked in, and we often had to flag them down or place multiple drink orders at once, knowing we wouldn’t see them again for 15+ minutes. We ordered a coffee with cream and were brought a black coffee with no cream. We asked again and never received it. Our sandwiches came without the sauces they were supposed to include, and it took about 10 minutes just to get one of them after asking. This was our 4th or 5th visit, and it’s usually fast (though the restaurant has typically been nearly empty when we’ve come). This time, it was clear they were understaffed or poorly trained. Either way, something needs to change. One bright spot: the hostess was fantastic—greeting everyone with a smile and clearing tables quickly. She seemed to be the only one really on top of things. Some of the servers could learn a lot from her. Overall, very disappointing, especially for a special occasion.

   The food was great, and the service was outstanding, above and beyond at the Watertown establishment!!!!

   Bread fabulous! Salad a little too much dressing for my taste but delicious greens and dressing. French fries crunchy, delicious! Steak is thin and prepared medium rare. Not the best cut but ok. Sauce is rich. Drinks - pricey $12-14 for a beer. Automatic seconds a nice touch.

   When we first arrived the noise level was very high due to a few large groups but was fine once they left. The food was excellent… the quality of the steak was outstanding,fries and salad also were excellent. 15 or so minutes after we finished , the server came around with seconds on the steak frites/ fries. You can even take them home if you’ve had enough. The desertS are wonderful! Great value ; great service by Seamus!

   it was okay. Seemed to have wait a while for the steak, and certainly waited too long for second serving. The original steak was way overcooked.

   Interesting place. On the surface it's just a restaurant. But they have just a "prix fix" (however it's spelt; a fixed price) single option. For that you get bread (awesome), salad (vinegar and oil dressing), and the main course which is steak with fries. The steak is cooked to order and cut into thin strips, then topped with their special sauce (sort of a thin gravy). Very unusual. Oh, and you get seconds on the steak and fries (this is crazy important to know!!!). My only minor complaint, which I think others have touched on, is that the sauce is a bit salty for my taste. If I go again I'll ask for the sauce on the side. The waitstaff was fantastic. Polite, proactive, and attentive. It wasn't too loud. I'd say a low murmur typical of most restaurants. I didn't know this was a chain until I started seeing them all over Boston (I'm visiting from out of town). Will probably make another visit to a Medium Rare at some point.

   I used to go to the location in DC for years, so I was delighted to hear a Medium Rare had opened closer to home. They did not disappoint! My husband and I came with our 3 babies (all 2 years and under), and we were accommodated so well in their outdoor seating area (which was beautiful and spacious). The food was delicious, as is to be expected of this chain, and the drinks were impressive (tasty and strong ;). All of the staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Our server, Juan M. was quick, knowledgeable of the menu/food and drink options/specials, and let us know about brunch! I can’t wait to return!

   Steak was closer to rare/blue than medium rare, sent it back and got medium rare, then the seconds were well done.

   Busy Saturday night and full, noisy restaurant. Table we were shown too was in a good location but the seats were soaking wet (!?) Bread was fantastic!! Asked for salad dressing and meat sauce on the side—salad and meat had dressing and sauce. Salad dressing was out of balance with too much mustard. Steak (without sauce) was delicious and perfectly cooked, but everything (even the fries) had way too much pepper. Pinot Grigio tasted like Sauvignon Blanc. Rosé was delightful. Wait staff busy but attentive and responsive. Surprise! A second serving of steak and fries came as we were finishing the 1st. Carrot cake superb.
