   Celebrated my brothers birthday at Meraki. Upon walking in, you instantly felt you were in Greece. The music, the colors - name it! We ordered for starters, Saganaki, Crispy fried calamari, Grilled Octupus along with two salads to share - Greek Salad & Beet with Goat cheese..... - Delicioussssssssss! As main courses we ordered: Lamb Chops with grilled veggies and lemon potatoes that my brother enjoyed very much; my brothers girlfriend and myself ordered - La Creta Seafood - filled with shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari and scallops in a delicious tomato sauce- over linguini and one grilled Salmon platter - presentation on all was WOW WOW WOW ... 3 Meraki Spritzers and a glass of wine later, followed by dessert and one cappuccino : one Baklava and one Bougatsa, we have officially declared Meraki a favorite. Growing up in Astoria, we love Greek food so it was nice to venture and try some place new. We definitely will be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you Meraki staff for making our sunday and my brothers birthday truly a memorable one. <3

   Very disappointing experience. Waited 45-minutes for the seafood opera and they gave us the wrong item. Disgusted by the absence of the staff throughout the evening as well. I’ll never go back.

   Spent our birthdays there with a friend on a quiet January night. Eleni was very attentive to our table and guided us well through the menu. Loved the food and portions! Will come back!!

   Brought my wife for her birthday. Have eaten in many places in Williamsburg but this was the first time dining at Meraki. The staff made us feel welcomed and was very pleasant Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the goat cheese and beet salad which was huge and the Meza & Trio very good! We also order the grilled octopus which was not very good ( smelled abit too fishy, that is why I gave it food 4 stars). We shared the family platter the Meraki Gyro Platter. A small platter for the 4 of us it was huge and more than enough. Had desert. All was Delicious. Enjoyed the wine. Will be definitely coming back. Thank you Meraki team!

   Somehow I just knew when I stepped in Meraki with its white stucco walls and blue shutters that I was in for an excellent Greek meal. It may also have been because one of the staffers (maybe a Manager) was singing in Greek. I had the Branzino ($50) with a Greek Salad, lemon potatoes and roasted vegetables! The fish was deboned and meaty, grilled perfectly. I love when the skin is grilled crispy with a bit of char. Fantastic!! The Greek salad was Fresh, Fresh, Fresh!! The dressing so very tasty!! The grilled vegetables fresh and roasted to perfection…you know because the sweetness of the veggie comes through. I was encouraged to try something different for my dessert. I usually do Baklava which I still ordered but in addition, I ordered the Bougatsa! My first time experiencing Bougatsa. Was sooooooo flaky, warm and yummy! The sprinkled powdered sugar and cinnamon reminds me of Ilalian Fried Dough however Bougatsa has more to offer with the crème center. The service was incredible. Dimitri our server was so accommodating and kind. Dimitri spoke with us about his hometown of Thessaloniki, Greece explaining how he came to receive his name Dimitri. Truly a kind spirit. But I think one must have a kind spirit in order to be employed at Meraki because ALL of the staff we encountered was so kind! Meraki has become my new favorite Greek restaurant in Brooklyn and perhaps all of NYC!
