Situated in the heart of Merchant City, Mharsanta brings a taste of Scotland to you. We have a passion for using seasonal, local produce from Scotland and are here to ensure our guests have the very best experience from the moment you walk through the door.

We serve a variety of Scottish food from mussels and scallops to home cooked favourites including freshly landed fish and chips and steak and sausage pie. Our resident chef Dom and his team serve an array of culinary delights to suit every taste at affordable prices.

We are open 7 days a week from 12pm and offer a Dine In, Takeaway and Home Delivery service.

Had booked a table at Mharsanta in Glasgow for dinner with my wife prior to meeting friends for a night at the Blackfriars Comedy Club next door. This was our first visit to this restaurant and pleasantly surprised with service and quality of food. We arrived about 20mins early for our booking, hoping we could just have drink at the bar and Floor Manager (?) moved our table and sorted us with a booth straight away. At Christmas time had a choice of Christmas Menu (three course £38.50) or choice of extensive A La Care Menu (which was not much more for my three course choice). Service was prompt and attentive and we were both happy with our meal choices. We would certainly have no hesitation in returning to this restaurant in future.

Great night. However ordered a bottle of wine and 10 minutes later was told they need the table back. Questioned why they allowed us to order wine and response was that we should have drunk it faster!

A little bit of a let down, I was expecting some nice Scottish cousine but was instead very let down by the quality, flavour and creativeness of the dishes. I really feel like the food is made by kitchen style chefs, where food is pre-prepared and then heated and sold at a massive markup. I wouldn't have an issue with this but the food itself was honestly a let down. In addition the service seemed like they were rushing you out the door. I understand needing to keep up turn over, but to have a full 3 course meal in 50 minutes is a little excessive. wouldn't return nor recommend.

First visit today and definitely won't be the last. 2 courses from lunch time menu for £19.50 with good sized servings. Staff were attentive and friendly. Couldn't fault anything
