This is a 6 course meal so I'd expect a level of elegance but no. Me and my partner were sat opposite one another and as a very skinny small woman, I was still elbow to elbow on both sides with two other customers. It's a long table where me and my partner were quite far, as everyone was with theirs and we had to literally scream across the table to communicate. Hence we were eating in a zoo level noise. The owners of this super club were really trying to stretch the staff, and spacing availible very thin to make as much profit as possible. Definitely not fine dining, and not nearly as enjoyable as something you can get at normal Indian restaurants for half the price. Can you imagine I felt so dissatisfied by a 80(for 2 ) pound meal. >:(. This weeks' menu was gujarati, and they wrote on the menu they are trying to respect the culture. The food was so horrible it was a disgrace. Hot items were cold, carbs and dips were served extremely separately, the meals were relatively simple and bland as well. Starting with the rotli, it was served maybe 10 minutes before the dip it was a side of. Secondly the coriander chutney was so weak, served with some fries drier and poorer quality than your home frozen chips. Menu pakora was cold and dry and said ' tomato chutney ' was not given. The cheap chaat was the best thing they had but at best it was mediocre. And finally... my poori, was served freezing cold.... Finally, the whole night was 3 hours. On a Thursday night starting at 7;30 you only leave by 10:20 ish pm. That too ofcourse, very distant from my partner where I can't hear them or have conversation to make time pass. As you can tell I have lots of anger towards Mildred's... it was overly hyped and disrespected the culture it attempts to share. As a vegetarian myself I think this food will make people converting give up their journey. The only thing high end about it was that they changed cutlery between meals, but that is the least nezsecary part of it tbh.

We're a family of devoted Mildreds fans; it's always our number 1 choice for a special occasion celebration, so it was a delight to take my Dad to this branch (where we hadn't been before!) for his birthday. The service was outstanding, such immeasurable kindness and patience from all the team. The food was marvellous as per - we had the arancini rossi and kimchi gyoza to start, then makhani tofu (+ paratha) and artichoke kale caesar salad (+ rashers) as mains, and if we didn't have a train to catch we'd have got some dessert too. 10/10 all round. THANK YOU.

I’ve been to various Mildred’s sites and always love the food and ambience so specifically chose to go here for a special occasion; unfortunately on this both were severely lacking. I’d booked the tasting menu experience thinking it would be perfect for a special occasion, a little fancier then the usually very good food Mildreds serves and a bit of an experience at the same time for myself and friends. I really hate to say it but I felt very disappointed. The food was really not good at all, in fact, it was bad and I still have a stomachache this morning. To be fair, service was good, each member of staff that seated or served us was really lovely and very welcoming. We actually looked forward to the waiters commentary and he was very good, such a shame the food he served wasnt. I would say the second course out the six was nice - not great but ok, this was the only one I remotely liked. The food wasn’t good at all but we were all starving and it’s not exactly cheap so we continued to try things that were served but the minestroni was bland, and the canaloni was actually left untouched by a few of us, it was gloopy, stodgy, and the fusion flavour simply didnt work. As an eternal people pleaser I wish I could leave a better review but based on this experience, myself and my 5 friends won’t be recommending Mildreds or the tasting menu to anyone. Such a shame.

Menu was great, it was difficult to decide what to get but we were very happy with both dishes - the kimchi bokkeumbap and the artichoke kale caesar salad. They were delicious and the portions were great. The only downside was that there was quite a wait after ordering but the staff were attentive and friendly. Option to pay via QR code was great too. Will definitely be back and do recommend.
