Mill Valley Kitchen is a Northern California inspired restaurant that features local, organic, and farm to table ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons, though staple dishes like the Miso Glazed Seabass and bison burger are available year round. Located at the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and France Avenue in the Ellipse building, it's the perfect location for after work happy hours, family dinners and spur of the moment Sunday brunches. Mill Valley Kitchen has something for everyone. The bar lounge offers a large selection of new and old world wine, inventive craft cocktails and local draft beer while the restaurant and patio provide a comfortable, laid back environment for special occasions and casual outings alike. Large groups are welcome and private dining is available as well.

We were there recently for brunch. Wonderful atmosphere and food. The biscuits were warm and absolutely heavenly! Service was great, too. One of our favorite restaurants.

Love this place. Neighborhood gem. Delicious food. Kimchi fried rice bowl is fabulous! Very satiating. Love their bison burger - its magnificent. Grilled shrimp salad is wonderful. You can’t go wrong with anything. Ambience lovely and noise level low. You can’t definitely have a conversation with someone.

Our group of four was seated in a very quiet corner booth, which was perfect for our birthday celebration and constant conversation. Our server, who I believe was Edith, was most attentive Although creative, the menu did not excite me, and I don’t think anyone in our group raved about their food. The carrots and the broccoli side dishes we ordered were too raw for my liking, and my French onion soup was full of mushy onions with very little broth and only a sliver of cheese floating atop a piece of bread. I personally will not be back. True “Foodies” might think differently.

Good options for everyone. Our vegan enjoyed the Ratatouille and we especially enjoyed the mini desserts. What a brilliant idea! When you just want a couple bites of sweet to end the meal, so much healthier than a huge dessert. We’ll have our holiday celebration here show again!!

Out waiter was just the best! He was attentive, funny, friendly and had good ideas about wine and food. He wanted to make sure we were all happy with everything! We really apprwcisted him!

I’m a longtime fan. The ambience is relaxing and pretty. But the service was thin this time (didn’t seat us in lounge, as reserved; waiter was a memorizer, and messed up order). And while the two main dishes were good, the two salads and the side dish were downright bad. One salad had virtually no dressing. The other, so much it was inedible. And the roasted curry cauliflower was cold and dry. I will dine here again with the hope this was just a bad night.

Food was fantastic. We had the ratatouille as a starter, absolutely fantastic, exceeded the expectations. My partner got the bison burger, I had the duck chef’s special, both were great. We got the dessert trio, also great. It was our anniversary in our reservation, no acknowledgement of that, but service was good and food was great.
