While the vibe, service and ambience are all first rate the food is very average, heavily over salted and wildly overpriced. I would not recommend it if you’re looking for a great Chinese culinary experience.

Overall very good food and service. It’s a bit noisy but I guess that shows everyone is enjoying themselves. Must try is the signature Char Siu. The sea bass is deboned which is a first for me. Recommended. Overall 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Wish they serve soup.

Honestly this we a fantastic experience! Went to celebrate a birthday, the ambiance is nice and cozy, the service was phenomenal, and the food was both delicious and unique. Worth every dollar!

Received good explanation on the menu items. Had 2 appetizers & 3 entrees & 1 rice & 1 veg. Flavour was off on the entrees - General Tsao chicken too salty & 4' noodle (though impressive display) was too spicy. A bit pricy too, though service was attentive & courteous.

Such a great night, and was shocked to be able to get a table at 9:30 on a Friday the night of the booking. I had some guests in from out of town unexpectedly, and we needed to find something special in a hurry. Food was fantastic, as were the drinks. It's a bit pricey but I was very impressed. Specific call-out, while everyone is busy snapping pics of the 4-foot noodles (I think that's what they're called?), the real dish to blow everyone away is the Squid. I've had squid dishes all over the world and this truly blew me away. Exceptionally well flavoured, prefect preparation. 10/10 all day long.

Mimi’s had been on my list for over a year so I was very excited to finally get here. We had such an amazing table right by the kitchen which had a one way mirror to give us a view of the action. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the fried shrimp toast and scallop crudo. You also want to make sure that you come with at least a group of 4 as the main dishes are very generous. I think the downfall was a bit of sticker shock for the price. More than half our bill was alcohol and we didn’t even drink THAT much (a cocktail each and 2 bottles of lower priced sake). One guest in our party ordered the pepper beef which I think took the bill over the edge. It was great, but I didn’t come to a Chinese restaurant to eat a steak. Would I go back, probably not, but I would recommend this as a must try but just make sure to stick to the more “traditional” dishes to get the most of the experience.

We had a fantastic experience at Mimi’s Chinese Restaurant in Toronto! DG Seyong and the entire team made us feel incredibly welcome. Our server was exceptionally friendly and attentive, truly adding to the warm ambiance. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was a delight! The char siu was tender and flavorful, the spicy Sichuan crispy chicken packed the perfect amount of heat, the belt noodles were perfectly textured, and the fish… wow, simply unforgettable! Thank you so much to everyone for a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! – Didier & Edith

The raw bar items were great; we took the chicken with chillies which was sumptuous. Rice had pork sausage which was not mentioned as an ingredient in the menu and was disappointing
