Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. Mimi’s Bakehouse has become one of Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries and an award-winning brand which is a well-known “feel good” place to visit, while remaining small enough to go the extra mile and try new things.

Perfectly paired with an Eteaket tea of your choice or Machina Americano. Available on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am and 12.00pm - now that's something worth getting out of bed for! We require 48 hours notice for all bookings.

A fun festive afternoon tea out with two friends! The menu was amazing and one of the best afternoon teas! You had the choice of fruit scones, orange and chocolate scones, chocolate logs, coconut truffles, christmas themed brownies to cheese croquettes, pigs in blankets, tasty chicken and mushroom pies! Oh and you also got a wee gingerbread guy to decorate! A very enjoyable experience! Me and my friends would definitely visit again!

Having been a regular at Mimi’s Corstorphine our group left rather disappointed. We opted for the Christmas afternoon tea which we all really enjoyed last year but this year it was nothing special. It was nice to arrive and have some Christmas crackers on the table which we thought was a nice touch but food wasn’t great and service wasn’t up to the usual standard it took a while to get someone’s attention to ask for a drink top up etc although there was a number of staff standing around behind the counter, usually it’s the opposite and they check your ok and if you need top ups often. It won’t stop us returning in the future though

Lack of gluten fee options in Mimis current menu now, and in this branch tables are very close together, disturbingly close. Staff were as helpful as they could be given the circumstances. Not much fun. Decent coffee.

Selection of cakes limited. Very similar kinds mostly chocolate tray bakes , no white chocolate and only 1 tiny cup cake. No egg sandwiches. Hot chocolate and soft drinks no longer included for those who do not like tea or coffee. Not good value for the money. Pleasant friendly staff.

Beforenoon Tea was amazing value for money. Everything was so fresh and delicious with endless pots of tea. Great service too.

Excellent service by the staff. Atmosphere was lovely and table and chairs were clean as usual. Would have preferred more of a selection of bakery treats but as we were there late afternoon on Sunday, I knew that the good stuff was going to be minimal! Regardless, the xmas cake was yum!

Lovely little place with a varied menu and really attractive decor. Friendly staff who slotted us in with no booking despite being really busy. Attentive without being in your face, and quick service. So good we booked to come back the next morning too (both were breakfasts). Portions are huge, tasty, nicely cooked and well presented. Not just your standard “bacon and eggs” fare (although their big and “wee” Scottish breakfasts will fill any need for a traditional meal). If you’re staying in Corstorphine, this is a must for breakfast.

We waited a long time for the drinks then the food was another long wait,and came out seperatly.The eggs benidict was not good.The potato scone couldn’t be cut or bitten.We sent it back and she kept coming back 3 times saying it was just the corners.She wasn’t happy to take it back.Wont be back as the cleanliness wasn’t good and the tables were all chipped.
