                                                                                                              We went to Miss Ricky's before going to a play at the Goodman on a Saturday night. Given its convenient location to the theater district, it's no surprise the place was full. The food was okay, the service a little lacking. It wasn't that the servers were incompetent or uncaring, there just weren't enough of them, and that led to irritations. For example, it was a struggle to get anyone's attention to refill our water glasses. As for the food, the three of us shared the beet salad and Panno Al Forno, a creamy mushroom mixture served with hearty bread. For entrees, we had the mushroom pasta (which my vegetarian son thought was the best thing he had there), the pasta with salmon, and short ribs over polenta. The portions were ample, especially the short ribs. One other complaint, and this is one I have with many mid-tier Italian restaurants: The red wine was served at room temperature instead of cellar temperature, which is about 10 degrees cooler. The ambience is nice, with soft seating around the tables that made for a comfortable experience. All in all, the location is the best part of Miss Ricky's. The food was okay, and the service would no doubt be better at a less busy time.

                                                                                                              Came here with my 10yo son before a theatre performance. Food was pretty darn good overall tho the pistachio cheesecake was a bit dry and disappointing. A few zero-proof cocktails my son could choose from for a nice night out. Service was outstanding!!

Portions were smaller and probably meant for classic Italian courses…so order antipasto etc if you’re hungry. Booths were nice for ambiance. Good spot to hit before a show at the Chicago theater

We were finally seated at a table that was for 4. Food was just okay.

                                                                                                              Our group of 3 went there before a show at the Chicago theater. The service was fantastic and timely. We had appetizers, mains and desserts at a good pace despite the restaurant being crowded with other show goers. It is a small space in the Virgin hotel and the signage is easy to miss.

                                                                                                              We dined here on a Friday night prior to seeing a show at a nearby theatre with our tween/teen children. Everyone loved this place! The service was attentive and friendly, food recommendations were good, and the food was excellent. The prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, but it is in a busy area of the city so would be difficult to find the same quality for less. Would definitely return here again, and recommend this establishment to others!
