   My first time experiencing Ms Toyas and it was not a great one. Music too loud where people had to yell to have a conversation. My food was not hot. It was Luke warm. Our waitress was not very attentive. We had to flag her down at least 3 to 4 times. We were never come back to after our order was received. Lastly had to go to someone else to pay after waiting 30 minutes after we asked for the check. I must say, the hype of Ms Toya’s did not impress me at all.

   Great place to dine. People are friendly. Food is good. Music is fabulous. Must make a reservation on the weekends.

   My sister-friend took me to Ms. Toya's for a belated birthday celebration. We shared the hot honey salmon bites for an appetizer. The portion was just right for two people. For entrees, my friend had shrimp and grits, which she said was delicious. I had the fried catfish which was nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was well-seasoned and the portion size left me plenty to take home for the next day. Our server, Lauren, was pleasant, attentive and efficient. She made sure that I received a birthday treat, which was very kind of her. Ms. Toya's is a gem right in my neighborhood.

   Food was excellent. I order the oxtails which had no fat and well seasoned. For as the service ordered gingerly which I never got but did put in my leftover bag. . Small plate for the appetizer which took a long time to come and then the food came shortly after. My husband made mentioned that the men’s bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. And when the tables are cleaned the food particles spills over in the chairs which are not cleaned. Other issues which really had nothing to do with me was the wait time for takeout. One man stated he was waiting for a hour. I don’t know if you have managers on board but there need to be. Majority of staff were all young. I think you need to have some seasoned workers in there. I will wait and go to the new Crofton location when it opens.

   We wanted to give it a try. Booked reservations for 2 and waited 10-15 minutes at the door to even be recognized. We weren’t the only ones. It was CLEAR that staffing wasn’t optimal but the employees seemed nonchalant. No one ever apologized about having us all wait at the front door with no assistance. The guy who did come to host desk was also bussing tables AND delivering food (in the same gloves he was cleaning tables with). I would expect mgmt to come out to apologize for the wait but no one ever came. We left and so did another couple. You lost us at the front door .

   The food was excellent. The servers were extremely nice but very slow. It's as if they were short staff. Our witers was also the bartender , and we had to wait for simple requests as a spoon. We ordered desert to go, and it took almost 15 min to get a piece of cake.

   Reservation was at 8:45 pm . I arrived at 8:10 and didn’t get seated until 9:30. Hair was on my plate and sister plate and sent the food back

   It’s ok... nothing to rave about or travel far for. The cheesesteak egg rolls were dry, the char grilled oysters were not grilled (look/tasted like they were microwaved with Mexican blend cheese sprinkled on top). Oxtail were decent, gravy was a little watery- the menu said it’s served with butter beans, but there weren’t any. Snapper was good- it had some kind of watery cajun sauce on the side (didn’t like it), Mac n cheese & yams were decent. I wouldn’t return..

    First time here with a few coworkers from out of town and the food was AMAZING!!! Service was a little slow as it appeared there was only 1 waiter and he was taking orders and making drinks for the entire restaurant but it allowed us to have great conversation. Ambiance, music, food, decor, everything was very good. Our waiter was great as well, he just needed some help. Would definitely go back.
