Mita's, the second restaurant from acclaimed Chef Jose Salazar, is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with tapas, ceviches, cured hams, cheeses and large plates.

    Wonderful birthday dinner with three delicious plates. Sensible portions and so good. Not sure why people continue to go to the meat palaces when this food is so much better.

    Had dinner with some friends before a show. The food came out wave by wave. Everything was worth writing home about. We tried a few cheeses, olives, an artichoke dish, beef sliders, octopus and the paella. The drinks were phenomenal and went well with the food. Two hours flew by. This was also incredibly convenient to events downtown, right off of the square. This spot would make a perfect date night or even better for a double date so you can order more tapas to try.

    A fun unusual place to meet for a special occasion. Creative food offerings make for a dining adventure! Always ask for their Yucca Popovers!
