   Excellent food and service! This is the 3rd time I’ve been as I live out of state and I highly recommend going to Moe’s!

   Filet was little to charred but overall good. Husband had the NY strip steak and he said mine was far better.

   I'm a steakhouse guy but almost always order the salmon. Had the sea bass special and it was as-good as any sea bass I've ordered, anywhere. All to say: do not sleep on the non-steak menu offerings. Moe's is the best!

   My wife and another couple went to Moe's for the first time and I have to say the food was very underwhelming. The crab cakes were very small and very fishy. My wife ordered the scallops that were 60 bucks so figured they would be good but we're super stringy and tough. She ate 1. My other friend had a pasta dish and a salad which was just OK. The only decent meal was my dry aged new york and baked potato. Steak had good flavor but again for the price not as good as other steak houses. Bill was over 500 for 4 of us which I don't mind if the food is worth coming back for. Service was very good so there was that. Overall I think I would go back for happy hour it seemed alot better than actual restaurant.

   Recently went to dine at Moe’s to celebrate my birthday. Not a great experience. Hostess at the front podium was really nice, but from there on, everything went downhill. Server was not attentive, and would come by once in a blue moon. Id notice the other servers running around and attending to their tables but not the one assigned to us. From there , we had ordered some drinks and appetizers which were the calamari and the side of Brussels sprouts. The food came out before the drinks did. The calamari was underwhelming. The Brussel sprouts were good though and so were the drinks. We then ordered a 10oz filet mignon with a side of bone marrow along with a lobster carbonara and a truffle Mac and cheese. Steak was good and cooked well. The bone marrow barely had any marrow in it. And for the lobster carbonara, it was very bland and flavorless. Mac and cheese was watery and tasteless as well. The manager was kind enough to remove the lobster pasta and replace it with another plate, which was the mushroom pasta. That one was a lot better but still not a plate I’d recommend. Very disappointing and overpriced experience.

    First time I've been back to Moe's since Covid hit. Dinner for 3. It's a cozy booth for 3, a better fit for 2, but it worked. 1 Caesar, 1 baked potato, 1 potato puree, 2 -14oz NY Strips, all cooked perfectly. Plenty of food for 3 people. 2 red wines, moderate priced, Daou Cab, and Buehler Zin, $15 each. One whiskey drink $15. Overall a great meal but not a cheap outing. Tabbed out at $234 with tax, 20% tip on top brought it to $276. So about $90 per person, which is expensive. The wine, whiskey, bourbon, tequila, vodka list is extensive, not sure if there is one better in San Diego. All premium priced. Great special occasion outing spot, but I suspect you're not eating here, multiple times in a month. If you get in for the Happy Hour, it sounds like a great deal, small 5oz filet, baked potato, salad, desert, $55 each. M-Th. That's the deal. Would definitely go back, and the service was great also.
