Mona Lisa Mare e Monti , in San Francisco, serves classic Italian dishes crafted with top-quality local and seasonal produce in its charming and welcoming eatery. Mare e Monti is located in the Heart of North Beach's Little Italy. Our Restaurant specializes in Authentic Italian Seafood and Steaks. We also offer a variety of different cuts of Pasta's, which are created in house everyday! We are best known for our Bistecca Fiorentina, which is a 24oz porterhouse steak. Our Seafood is brought to use daily by our local Fishermen. Some of our most popular seafood dishes are our Zuppa Di Pesce or our Whole Dungeness Crab plate. We had the best bruschetta … ever! Seriously, we’ve had bruschetta MANY times and Mona Lisa’s was in a class by itself! The halibut and pesto pasta were also great. Plus, the service was friendly and fantastic, and it was great to sit outside in North Beach. And (another “and,” really?) the prices were reasonable! We also loved spending time in THE city; San Francisco’s demise is far from a fait accompli (sp?). And (here we go again), the only downside was I had to park so far away that I considered getting an Uber back to our car after the meal.

This was my second time at Mona Lisa Mare e Monti. It was just as good as before. The ambiance is terrific, food delicious and servers friendly and engaging. A great experience all around. The only challenge is parking in the neighborhood. I'd suggest public transit or a cab to save some stress. Either way, it's totally worth it! I look forward to the next time!

Fun restaurant though we had to wait for service. Food was great, we had seafood, pork and steak, all cooked expertly, presented beautifully and delicious.

This restaurant was just perfect. We celebrated my daughters birthday here and the vibe, service and food were outstanding. We will be going again and highly recommend.

Went there on Saturday night. Felt completely ignored. We were there for almost 2hrs for 2 of us. Our food took and hour to come out. Food was decent but service was poor and will most likely not be back.

Excellent food. Good service. Nice space in the heart of North Beach. Octopus, Spaghetti Chitara Pomodoro, and Panna Cotta were all excellent. Enjoyed a nice btl of Etna Bianco and amaro afterwards. Will be back next time in SFO.

While the location in Little Italy is good, the existing reviews seem to be for another restaurant. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself clean and open, but the food was the equivalent of PF Chang’s for Italian food - Limited flavor and way too much salt.
