An intimate and beautiful family-owned Mornington Peninsula winery and restaurant with vineyard views in the heart of premium wine country. Wine and olive oil grown on site, served with Italian-inspired share plates. Sunny terrace in fine weather, cosy cellar room when it’s cold. Estate wines and barbecued quail are specialties. Lunch dishes change seasonally, estate-grown wine tasting all year round.

    Join us for a tutored tasting and guided walk through the glorious and very private estate at Morning Sun. Our deep dive into the terroir of this valley nestled in the Mornington Peninsula hills begins with an estate-grown sparkling wine on the terrace at Morning Sun and a meeting with your guide. We then take a gentle walk along the vine rows and have an in-depth personalised talk about the growth you see along the way. Taste the wines at your private table among the vines, then return to the winery.

    Our November 22 seafood celebration lunch is sold out, so we’re doing it all again at our winemaker lunch on Friday 6 December! Join us for this special summer menu and some sneaky festive-season insertions among the matched wines on the day (hello bubbles, hello Christmas sparkling shiraz!) Chris Strickland and Tony Lee will be your hosts, and chef Bernard McCarthy will be there to plate up some of his seafood favourites at this final winemaker lunch for 2024. See you there!

    Very enjoyable restaurant - food lovely & friendly service. As it was a date, we asked for some breaks but the food came too quickly!

    We have been here quite a few times (twice in the past 8 days) and have never been disappointed. Our Granddaughter (16) loved it as well. Well done Morning Sun. We are looking forward to our next visit 👍

    Did the feed me menu. Great variety. Fresh and novel. Maybe came out a little fast but not a major issue. Small but excellent wine menu. Excellent service.

    Amazing venue with great food and service. Amir was such a delight and attentive, making our afternoon all the more enjoyable. We will definitely return and tell all of our friends about our experience.

    Booked an inside table but the weather was so nice we changed to an outside table on arrival. Have been here several times over the past two years and as always were completed satisfied. Food is excellent (although comes out a little too fast) and the staff were fantastic. Morning Sun is high up on our list if favourite restaurants on the Peninsula Well done 👍

    The experience going for the first time was outstanding. The feed me menu was so reasonably priced and they catered on the spot for our couple of vegetarians. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a great afternoon. We will be back, when so many of the other wineries are charging 2 arms and 3 legs for food this was a most enjoyable surprise.

    Great place the view relaxing with the tables and bench outside with great views of the winery. The table was a bit small for 8 people we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine and food. We left the food to Morning Sun and was very impressed. We had 3 bottles of wine and food and was pleased with the price. Great job please stay this way.
