A great venue for that special meal. A short menu (always a good sign) but even so it was difficult to choose between such tempting dishes. Good wine list. We started with a glass of Nyetimber followed by a bottle of Sicilian Baglio Gibellina. A quite remarkable wine and superb value. The staff are very welcoming making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

As locals we regard Mortimers as the best restaurant within 50 miles in our experience over 20 years.

Our restaurant of choice on our annual visit to Ludlow. The tasting menu has a balanced selection, all elements are well cooked and seasoned and they use high quality ingredients. Food to savour. A friendly atmosphere, my disabled partner and I were well looked after.

Fantastic food and service! Very intimate and cozy place that offers chef’s tasting menu. The chef was very gracious in accommodating my gluten intolerance with all the dishes. This is our favorite restaurant in Ludlow and we try to come much as possible. .

14 years go, my wife and I with two close friends had a night in Ludlow and we ate at the Bacasse; a Michelin starred restauant in the town. It was truly superb and we had a very enjoyable time 14 years on, with many memories under our belts we decided to repeat the trip only to learn that the Becasse is no more and has been replaced by Mortimers. We booked a table and had one of the best dining experiences so far. Two of the party were vegetarian and Mortimers produced a specific menu for them. We all had the Tasting Menu with wine Pairing. Each course was extremely tasty and well presented. The staff’s attention to detail was incredible and they were so friendly In summary, there was abolutely nothing to fault here which is very rare these days. Happy memories (again) Hopefully they will still be there in 14 years time :-)

Perfect venue for an anniversary or other special occasion. Will definitely be there again,. I cannot fault it. It’s peaceful, comfortable, and a delightful setting. Long may it continue.

Visited for Saturday tasting menu. Had a vegetarian option which Tom is happy to provide if given enough notice. Food was imaginative and very tasty. We have been a number of times before and always had the same experience. Wine pairing also excellent. Staff are fantastic. Friendly, very welcoming and work like a well oiled machine. Always attentive. Very much looking forward to our next visit

We had an excellent experience at Mortimers. It's a lovely restaurant, not too large, with classic traditionally tasteful decor. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the food well cooked and beautifully presented. We had the Taste of Mortimers menu. Just be aware that 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill. I would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning myself. Many thanks to everyone for making it a very special lunch.

It was my birthday and I was sharing it with a friend. We found Mortimers online and it sounded just what we wanted to celebrate. And it was! A superb restaurant, very quaint, a beautifully laid table with plenty of room around it, not an extensive menu but that didn't matter because what was on offer suited us very well. The food was excellent in every way. Everything you would expect in a fine dining experience. Camilla was especially helpful and friendly and this topped off our lunch. It made my birthday very special. Thank you, Mortimers. If we're in Ludlow again, we'll be back!
