Opened in 1979 by world famous restaurateur Michael Chow. MR CHOW started in London in 1968 and continues to enjoy generations of devoted clients from art, fashion, music, and entertainment. Recently awarded the 5 Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences for its excellence, service, and cuisine this restaurant described by Givenchy as a "Precious Jewel Box" is one of the most beautiful restaurants in New York City serving high Chinese Cuisine with impeccable service.
The menu at MR CHOW is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, and the signature dishes such as Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles, and Ma Mignon. MR CHOW also serves one of the best Beijing Ducks in the world.
The famous nightly handmade noodle show is presented in every location since the opening of London in 1968.

Here’ I used to be a huge fan but hadn’t visited in years, so my partner and I thought it would be great to revisit. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The place is in desperate need of renovations, and the attention to detail that once defined Mr. Chow’s has completely disappeared. Honestly, I could have had a far better meal at a local Chinese restaurant for a fraction of the price. It’s sad to see the legacy of such an iconic establishment decline like this.

Sonya, who always looks so fashionable, showed us to a great corner table. Antonio took our order and Angel brought us our drinks. Christian stopped by to say hello. The dinner was delicious and Mr. Chow is friendly to vegetarians, which I am. The Mopo Tofu was great along with the vegetable rice dish. Randy loved the scallops. The atmosphere is always wonderful. Thank you everyone. We will be back again soon. Happy New Year. Joan and Randy

A meal at Mr Chow never disappoints. Each dish is outstanding — light, flavorful, delicious. I especially love the Dungeness crab with egg whites. My favorite restaurant in NYC hands down.

Mr. Chow is our family’s favorite restaurant! It’s always exceptional! Don’t skip the Peking Duck! Definitely recommend the chicken satay, squab lettuce wraps, lobster shumai, crispy beef and green prawns! You won’t be disappointed!!
