Originally opened as Lyons English Grille in 1945, in 2014 the building was purchased from David Lyons and after a complete renovation we re-opened in 2015 as Mr. Lyons, a homage to Mr. David Lyons.

Mr. Lyons features steakhouse classics with a modern edge. Be transported to a bygone era when jazz standards, martinis and steak ruled the day while enjoying modern luxury and innovation. A classic steakhouse with a menu that puts local small farms first, delivered with impeccable tableside service. We had a wonderful experience at Mr Lyons. We had a large party for a birthday celebration, and they gave us a private room. Our server was fantastic and very sweet (and patient) with our group. The food was excellent. It's a pricey place but definitely worth the splurge.

It was another great meal at the classic restaurant. The prime rib was the best I've had since House of Prime Rib in SF. Their house made desserts are also not to be missed.

Mr. Lyons was an easy 5-star for Service, Ambiance, and Value. I gave a 5-star rating for Food, even though I was not thoroughly satisfied with my entree and main course. Both the server and a manager went out of their way to make sure I was offered a substitute. They acknowledged my issue and resolved to make sure a less-than-perfect plate never sneaks out of the kitchen again. Running a restaurant and having to please diverse customers is a really tough job. If something is not right, it's important that customers give the staff a fair opportunity to correct the problem. I know the staff at Mr. Lyons are professionals from their speedy resolution.

We started with a cocktail at the bar. Bar men were so qualified and pleasant. Had a superior gin martini. Then our dinner Staff was absolutely superb and we loved our service and dinner. We shared the tomahawk pork chop. Absolutely cooked to perfection Time permitting we Might have to return tomorrow night Kind regards
